iPhone 6 and Samsung NX1 already have support for it. HEVC also comes in a bunch of flavours. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Efficiency_Video_Coding#Profiles

 

And if you're really hardcore you can crack up the bitrates with the Tiers.
