Since the Red Komodo thread has been locked (why?!) and because the camera is now real, here we go.

https://photorumors.com/2019/08/09/new-teaser-for-a-compact-red-komodo-camera/#more-112431

Small Body
6K sensor
Cfast internal
RF mount and variable ND filter with adapter
Integrated mic and headphone jack
4K SDI out
Price above 5K
Less than 2 pounds (similar as Pocket 6K)
4inch max in any dimension. For info that is the same dimension as the Pocket 6K in height, width but almost twice as small in length.

Let’s see..

I know, it's weird. I've since given up creating any topics here. The prior thread was about a phone.. the Hydrogen 2. So I created one specifically about the new camera... Komodo, and that thread was promptly locked. Moreover, the one about the phone was also locked. Perhaps @Andrew Reidhas a problem with Red?

The playing field is being leveled. Have you seen the Note 10 Plus? It can do bokeh in video computationally.

Indeed it is.  It's an exciting time, even in terms of history of tech.  40 years ago I remember my family only having a small b&w tv, so it's like the tech has come forward by a factor of a million or something.  Who knows what it will look like in another 40, but I'll be ready to take up my roll of yelling at the young people when they fly their autonomous insect transportation swarms onto my lawn...

The adapter with variable ND filter is Canon.

So it's just RF mount.

ps

the only thing that BMPCC6K will be jealous off is the 4K SDI out.

If price exceeds 3k will be a disaster.

I believe the Oakley guy said "above 5000$" on his first post.

"It is not DSMC3

It is not a replacement for DSMC2

It is not 8k VV

It is not a Dragon or a Helium or a Gemini or a Monstro Sensor

It does not have an HDMI port

It does not use proprietary media

It is not a “module”

It is not under $5k, unless you own a Hydrogen.

It has no XLR ports

It does not have a fixed lens

It’s body does not weight more than 2 pounds.

It is not larger than 4 inches in any dimension"

So, it seems that you need a Hydrogen + this brain = more than 5000$

The question is how did they get the RF mount??
