BLACKOUT Posted May 6, 2019 Share Posted May 6, 2019 I've been using a SONY A7R II + 16 - 35 GM + HELIOPAN Pol filter lately around water scenes, removing reflections etc.... I've found the EVF doesn't always provide the best "feedback of image" (so to speak) , its very difficult to notice the exact effect at times, more so in a very sunny environment. Seeking some options or opinions for either a remote small external EVF via HDMI or a work around with the native on camera SONY EVF... Thanks...... webrunner5 Posted May 6, 2019 Share Posted May 6, 2019 "So, this is how you can better judge the filter effect: disable Exposure preview in Manual Mode if you use the camera in manual exposure mode if in auto exposure mode, half-press the shutter button to fix exposure before you start rotating the filter, or lock exposure by pressing the AE-L button (configure it to act as a toggle button) before you start rotating the filter - again in auto exposure mode" Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
