Looks like taking things a step further than their clip on cameras for phones.

While I liked using Canon lenses on M43 cameras (and you have the added benefit of being able to use focal reducers), this makes sense to me for people who want a ILC in a phone but who have Canon lenses (which is a LOT of people even if just a APSC kit lens or two for many).

A larger sensor would add to cost so M43 is fine by me for it and looking at it as a "better" phone camera rather than as a smaller camera works for me.

I guess this is the sort of thing we will ALL be using in a few years for all things photo/video other than specialist subjects.

Might be one of the cheaper ways of getting 4k with mic and headphones still though that remains to be seen.

As to size of lenses, well SOME Canon lenses are quite small (40 2.8 STM makes a nice portrait lens on M43).

This a m43 camera with an EF mount?? What's the point? And EF are usually too big for such a small camera. Do not really get it.

It isn't like MFT mount is a closed off system that nobody else can use such as E mount. As MFT has a wide range of companies backing it already! Why not Yongnuo as well?

It is a m43 sensor with full frame lenses. A small small sensor that needs unessecarry big and heavy lenses made to cover a multiple times bigger sensor.

M43 mount should be a better choice.

Samsung did the Galaxy camera, which essentially was the same concept for NX lenses, and it didn't sell at all (except a weird-recent project that was sending photos on a server and then they were process them and send younback printed the photos, they used a Galaxy camera for that. Never heard from them again either).
