Thinking of Sachtler Ace GS but maybe there is a good manfrotto option? Any lovely members out there with recommendations? Want a good sturdy tripod, does not have to be travel light. docmoore Posted October 9, 2018 Share Posted October 9, 2018 The Ace is wonderful for the price ... as long as weight and fulcrum point are not excessive. webrunner5 Posted October 9, 2018 Share Posted October 9, 2018 I have two of them but I would Not recommend Anything Manfrotto anymore. Their overall quality has gone way down hill. I like Vinten stuff better than any. And what is Really crazy Vinten owns them now. I guess it is their cheap ass line I don't know. Manfrotto just tends to cheapen it by 20 percent and it ends up frustrating as hell. They have the right ideas, they just half ass everything as of late.
