The biggest argument (apart from some specialised video features of the GH5) for me in favour of M4/3 versus FF is the size of the lenses. I don‘t like carrying around heavy stuff und found M4/3 to be a good compromise... But maybe the times have changed?

Are Sony lenses comparable in size and weight with the equivalent m4/3 lenses?

Well of course the whole equivalence argument tends to mean different things to different people. But I found that I was increasingly looking for bigger and more expensive lenses with M43 than what I considered their equivalent with FF....

I guess that is also debatable with speedboosters etc. But I do think that Sony is making a powerful argument that FF is where we are going to eventually end up....

True, speedboosters get you closer optically, but move you further away in terms of size and weight equivalence. And if we are talking native lenses then AF might be an issue.

@metoo  :) , but on the wide side. My only lens now - FF 35mm/1.4 would be 18mm/0.7 on m4/3.. and it was soo cheap..

Rumors before the announcement suggested a price tag of $1899. I wonder if the XH1 price actually persuaded Sony to increase the price of this a little bit :o They've really hit it out of the ballpark with this one.

Well the Sonyalpharumors rumors were pretty wide of the mark

167 autofocus points (actual 693)

No 1080 120 fps

So I am guessing the source really didnt know anything. I would be seriously surprised if those specs were ever planned for US$1899 - they seem incredibly reasonable at the US$1999 price point.

SonySPAMrumors are often of the mark. Like when a7siii was ranked highest in there stupid ranking system last year. Then we got the riii instead.

Pretty sure I have enough cookies to open a bakery after I visit that site!

There is no way that is not temporal NR
It looks to be pretty decent at handling noise without color breakdown but it's no longer apples to apples comparison.
Now if it's aimed at the "baseline" it might not be a bad thing since NR is very hard to get right. But what happens if we turn it off(if we can)? Can't really say cleaner 20 times and that makes it so.
