mkabi Posted January 15, 2018 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Quick question: I mean this could be an old wives tale, but I remember back in 2011, a friend of mine was berating me for putting the camera bag (with camera and lenses in it) in the trunk of the car... where there is a lot of shake. He said that if you shake the camera too much or too hard it will displace the sensor... so he told me to keep it in the front passenger or back seat (preferrably, on your lap and/or at your feet, and stabilized). Now, it doesn't really help me debunk it when you see Peter McKinnon doing the shake and/or rapid pan on a 6D (rather than his main cams 1dx mark ii & 80D). So, the question is... will it displace the sensor if you shake it hard, hard drop, etc.? Or is this just a stupid rumor? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
