Nikon 50mm 1.8G + .64 Speedbooster as Taking Lens?

Does anyone know of a reason to avoid the Nikon 50mm F/1.8 G as a taking lens? (And go with the D version instead?)

I'm looking for a Nikon 50mm, and the F/1.8 G just seems like the obvious low-price choice but I don't see it mentioned anywhere as a taking lens, so I'm wondering if there's some issue I'm not aware of. The aperture should be controllable through the Speedbooster, or maybe there is some other down side I'm missing?

I'm using a GH5 > .64 Speedbooster > Ultra Star

Thanks
