A Furry Peanut Posted August 14, 2017 Share Posted August 14, 2017 So with the upcoming solar eclipse I learned that you need a solar lens filter to safely take pictures of the sun with your camera. However, this was never mentioned in sunrise/sunset photography guides so I was just wondering if solar lens filters are still needed, and if not, then what makes it different from solar photography.
