/p/ Posted March 5, 2013 Share Posted March 5, 2013 Someone told me it is possible to edit FCP projects in Adobe Premiere, does anyone know if this is correct? If so, how well does it work? I'm over Macs and would like to go back to PC however I work as a camera operator for a company that also gives me the odd editing job (which will increase this year).. They are still using FCP 7, I'd like to be able to take my work home if I need too but that would require me buying another Mac.. If I have too I will but I thought I'd ask and see if it really is possible too work between both editing systems (FCP and Premiere).. If it's not a viable option I'll just have to buy another Macbook Pro but if it is possible and works well (won't cause any issues) then I will be happier to buy a PC. xenogears Posted March 5, 2013 Share Posted March 5, 2013 If i remenber correctly you must export the XML file from FCP and then import to Premiere Pro, i do that 2 year ago and work without problems, but the edit must be rough cut no effects.
