A break from the scandal with a round of "Guess the Camera"?

EOSHD Pro Color 5 for Sony cameras EOSHD Z LOG for Nikon CamerasEOSHD C-LOG and Film Profiles for All Canon DSLRs

 Some friendly questions:

Same lens? Or if not the same lens, same focal length, or what?

What picture profiles? I know if you name them, then you give it away. But clearly I could get more differences than your samples from the same camera by just changing the profile. So, what did you do about profiles? Standard for each? the flattest for each?

I also don't understand "same grade", since the colors are very different across the shots. Do you mean you applied the same corrections in post regardless of what the final "look" was like? I think of a grade as the final look, not the corrections, but I just want to understand what you did.

It is actually quite difficult to compare cameras.

Yes, this beats whining about internet purchasing foolery (for this forum).

I know what you mean, but if I answer I will give it away.
"Same grade" means that they should look the same, but one of them isn't reacting to the treatment the same way as the other two :)

Top - GX85 natural all the way down

Middle - a6300 s-log

Bottom - XC10 c-log

All wrong :)

Wondering what that third one is.  Seems soft and even, like I'd use for film projects.  Is that second one the panny?

It might have been just at the edge of focus. I leaned into it but accidentally exported the very first frame.

I would love the second one to be the GX85.

The third one has these warmer colors which looks familiar to your 5D MK3 raw footage, so thats my guess.

Second one isn't the gx85 and the 5D is not included.

So, first is a6300. Second is BMCC and third is gx85?

Almost.

A6300, BMPCC, gx80/85.

Used a Voigtlander 28mm with IR Cut. Used the same type LUT on all but the correct one for each, meaning for slog2, bmdfilm and a Rec709 generic.

After the LUT I set the contrast and lifted the mids.

ISO 800 on a6300 and bmpcc, 600 on the gx80.

Will do a side by side shootout tomorrow. Trying to decide on which to keep as a small grab n shoot for my camera bag when shooting stills.
