How I got scammed through "Ebrahim Saadawi"

plenty of you and me will not know the answers to many of these questions off the top of our heads and these are SIGNIFICANT moments in history. ES is a teeny weeny nothing. A teeny weeny scam artist and fraudster but still nothing.

Because my dad worked in the united nations II was in each country for each of these 'significant' events:

What year did Zimbabwe gain independence?

What year did South Africa gain independence?

What year was 9/11?

What year was Obama elected?

What year was 7/7?

What year did Mandela die?

What year was the Migrant Crisis?

What year was Brexit?

I have witnessed all of these first hand - in each city and country. Lucky? I think not.

It does not not make me better than you to be a first hand witness to crisis.

It only makes you better if you can look back and think about how you could have helped others.

 

And yes, I was in London when DOdi and DI passed, I actually worked at Harrods selling perfume for my first job so, I have met Al Fayed.

I hope i am wrong again, however anyone thinking they are getting their money back is tripping. This is way deeper than we think.

No 19yr old would bother with all this creation of accounts and characters etc. Why invent some grandfather who is the guru of cinema blah blah blah why not just claim yourself as the all knowing? Oh wow kid, your 'grandfather' knows camera, where does that get YOU in life? Nowhere. What is to gain from fabricating a person that is not yourself, they get all the kudos and youre just the kid.

As others have said, get your iphone or similar and post a video of yourself (and the grandfather for shits and giggles) and explain the whole thing that way. As it stands for now, its not hard to invent a FB or IG account with photos and 'friends' etc in fact that is the simplest thing in the world to do! My dog has an IG account.

Collecting money from WU under the name ES is a little trickier however, there is no reason that this isnt as popular as 'John Smith' in Egypt. Hell, if this is deeper than we think, the REAL ES may be a completely unknown victim of ID theft and not even remotely associated with this forum, cameras, or anything. ID theft is a huge problem around the world and seemily easy for plenty of people from developing nations to specialise in.

Ed obviously feels he did wrong but I dont think you did wrong at all. If you did this to me (or my dog) and I was innocent, my friends and family who ACTUALLY know me would know within seconds that this was not true. I wouldnt even bother defending the charges.

Indeed, one of the brightest posts over here as same as this last one from Lee Kelly. Scammer's fault to begin with, anyway. He also had the chance to not enroll himself in more nonsense and he was very sloppy against himself. Reason why I think this community should have been more alert to make the right choices. for violence has been called in this thread. I am sure, it wasn´t you though. But others have, explicitely or reacting in a humoureous manner towards such comments,

conclusions have been drawn about things going beyond the simple question about the identity of a scam. Degrading, concluding comments about persona and his contributions.

Why were a lot of people enjoying his past posts until one week ago and now all of the sudden put peer pressure up as an exuse for such appreciation.

I tell you what you posters have been to me in this thead: too long involved this thread´s dynamics and getting carried away by it.

I don´t think it should be up to assumptions about maturity but most of all and definately up to justice to solve this case.

In court you don´t hear the judge calling susptects names. I understand that this is no court. But then again, this thread should have no meaning

other than being a warning not to use WU and not to buy stuff from the scamming account.

By the way, Merce, little sad not to see anymore beautifully filmed greens with a 8bit codec camera anymore.- You know, I could assume you´d be

suspicious about my nice last sentence towards you in my latter sentence- This is the kind of paranoia and angst and rage coming out

of the last twenty pages of this thread. But no justice. Let´s leave it to the cool headed and fairly approaching institutions of justice.

I think Ebrahim, just borrow some money.  Sell some things. Start sending over what you have.

Use paypal - it works out of Egypt. Transfer as a gift.

I think get your friends involved.  Pool some money.  Sell some books or something.

And yes, sell your camera.  I have a Canon T2i if you want it.  I never use it.  It's not much but it does raw.

What you did was horrible, but I was thinking about it on the drive today - I may have done something like that myself if I was broke and young.  I don't think I would have, but the thought probably would have crossed my mind, especially if I was broke.

Anyway, I'm proud of you staying on this to deal with this.

Just goes to show that anyone can read a camera spec sheet and sound smart. That is the curse of our generation. Which is why I will never invest in camera specs again.
