My Honest Ursa Mini Review

Here's my take on the Ursa Mini 4k.

It gets a lot of hate in online reviews. It seems that it was a letdown to the people who eagerly awaited its release. Although it has its flaws, I think the fact that it didn’t live up to its expectations has tainted the perception of it.

In my opinion, it’s the perfect camera if:
You want a more professional camera. (it’s robust, has excellent ergonomics, and can use professional batteries.)
You want a quality image (it has a flat picture profile with lot of room for grading in post and its picture noise is closer to film grain than macro blocks)
You have lighting. (the picture gets really noisy in low light)
You record audio separately. (the audio via xlr is pretty bad, at least in the one I own.)
You can’t spend $10,000 on a 4k camera, but $4,000 is doable.

For more insights, I did a video review of the camera as well.
