1. “You find yourself at a sex party. This is not a fun surprise. What is this place? Why can’t you just go home?†Watch the film here! 'Black And White' is a nail-biting, ultra unnerving morality tale about a man that finds himself stuck at a sex party in the middle of the country. It’s about the horror of moral collapse and how people act when no one is watching. It could be one of the most intense clips you watch all year! Shot entirely on a Nikon D800 DSLR. Buckle yourself in! Richard Williamson Writer.Director www.richardwilliamsonfilms.com *My last two films screened at a host of international festivals and won awards in the USA. This newest work is releasing immediately online.
2. Sorry can't find how to delete a post. If someone knows, please let me know! Sorry again for wasting your time.
3. Finally finished my short film project "Separate Flow". Waiting for the right anamorphic and I think the SLR Magic Anamorphot was it. Very practical to use on location, it worked really well for this project. Debated long and hard on using either the GH3 or 5DmkIII RAW. In the end I went with shooting RAW even though I had a lot of problems, including the camera shutting down at one point. But it's the flexibility of RAW in post that won out in the end. In the future I will use AF with the GH3/4 since it's more usable, especially when using a steadicam.
4. Hey guys, I've been using EOSHD for a year or so now, but new to the forums. I don't know if this is the right place to put this up, but I would love some feedback on my latest short film 'Bad Bounty'. Was shot on my 5D and a few Canon prime lenses. All in the video description if interested. I'm just after some technical criticism, I worked hard on creating a 'Robert Rodriguez' kind of look to it. Hope you all enjoy it :) Thanks for your time. -Joe
5. Hey Guys! Me and a few colleagues participated in a short film competition here in Germany called "99Fire Films Award". Here is our film: http://www.myvideo.de/Aktion/99fire-films-2014?videoId=9456776 We had 99 hours to produce a film with a length of 99 seconds about a given topic ("Life writes the most moving stories") It would be nice if you vote for us, if you like it! (It's possible to vote 9 times) Feel free to comment/criticize! Thanks! _________________________________________________________________________________________ - shot on BMPCC + Speedbooster(BMPCC edition) + Sigma 18-35 f/1.8 - edited in FCP7 / Adobe Audition - graded in Adobe After Effects
6. Hi Gals and Boys, my name is Vi-Dan Tran and I am a filmmaker from Germany. From the very beginning of my studies I have only done action films. In the end I decided I wanted to try something new. The short movie "You Never Know" was supposed to be my first non-action movie for my final diploma exams of Media Design with focus on filmmaking. This idea came in my mind while studying in the third semester. I wanted to raise the bar for me with this film. I focused on the characters, dramaturgy, the emotional situation and storytelling. Logline: The successfully womanizer Terry gets into trouble when he falls for the cute and chaotic Lara, unaware that he himself is about to get played... technical details: 5 Days shooting with 95% Available Light and Guerilla Style. Almost without permissions. Canon 5d mark III Carl zeiss compact primes II 50 mm - 85 mm edited with Premiere pro cs6 and After effects CS6 ADR with Zoom H4n and Sennheisser K6 + ME66 You Never Know short film:
7. This is a little 2 minutes short film we shot with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. It is our first major field test of the camera and we weren't disapointed at all. We shot with a Canon 50mm 1.8 & SLR Magic 25mm 0.95. Coming from a DSLR background, I was really surprised how well he dynamic range really held up. We shot ProRes for everything except the opening and closing shots which we shot RAW. We used one bounce card but the rest was available light.    It's titled: "Le Rire". As you can probably tell by the heavy-handed french music, we were aiming for the feel of a pixar-esque short. Hope you enjoy!    http://youtu.be/icVmrZWD77A   As far as post production goes I edited in Premiere and mixed audio in Audition. Color correction/grade with Colorista II. A light pass of film grain was added via an "editwithlight" filmscan overlay thingy.     Thoughts? We love feedback!    Thanks, Luke Starring: Madeline Pickens & Jared Locke Written, Directed and Edited: Luke Covert Director of Photography: Myles  Extras: Michael Good Production Assistant: Allie Amstutz Le Rire is french for "Laughter"
8. Hi all! I would like to share with you a project which me and a group of friends, all professionals in the video industry, we are working on. We are making a sci-fi short film. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dark-flow/ https://vimeo.com/70921402 If you wish to support us you can donate-like-share our crowdfunding campaign. http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dark-flow/ Thanks!
9. Hey there! After hard work, we’ve finally wrapped the production of our new short “RED WALKER”. And, of course, we’re crazy excited to hear some feedback from you guys :) The film is about 4 min long, featuring a Canadian actress, one from Norway, and another Norwegian with an acting background from New York. We shot it on Canon 7D with an Anamorphic adapter to get that cinematic analog vibe. If there’s any questions concerning the technical/visual aspect of the film, fire away! Here’s the short: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK2BuwH-4_M   I managed to get my hands on an ISCO-OPTIC Cinemascope Ultra Star Lens (one of the smaller versions), an anamorphic projection lens that i have to say; Its really sharp! And taking in consideration this is the first time we've operated an anamorphic projection lens on a filmset, i'm quite happy with the result!   The ana-lens was mounted on a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, a lens i can't say i'm proud to own. What do you think?   Shot on the Canon 7D, settings all set to flat, then graded in After Effects and cut in Premiere Pro.   We've made a couple of films before, including a sci-fi feature, so have a look if this was interesting: www.youtube.com/JARANDandJENS We also have a facebook, if you’d like to get in touch or stay up to date with content: www.facebook.com/JARANDandJENS Enjoy, and give us a little heads-up in the comments-section about what you think! We’re constantly looking for improvement, so a little input from you guys only makes good better :) Looking forward to hear from you, Jens Peder Hertzberg Jarand Breian Herdal   -JARANDandJENS
10. Hello,   Here is a short that was shot last September that was recently finished. I did editing and some post production, it was written & directed by friend of mine.   Enjoy!   https://vimeo.com/68118350

12. Dear people! This is my new asian short film "Saga Seed" shot on gh2. Hope you like it! http://youtu.be/hqfcvAcvIt8   Support me if you like it :)
13. I wanted to share my first film shot on the Canon C100 Cinema Cam. I shot the whole thing in one weekend for a 48 Hour Film Festival using only 3 Zeiss ZE lenses: 15mm 2.8, 35mm 1.4, and 85mm 1.4. 90% of it ended up on the 35mm. Amazing Lens!   I really liked the look of the C100 with the Zeisses. We shot, not in C-Log, but  the "High Dynamic Range" profile. Feels very filmic to me. (Some shots more than others.) Also, the C100 was a breeze to shoot on for a 48 hour festival. Adaptable to all 5 of our locations within seconds and post-production was cake. Such an easy workflow.   Tell me what you think!   http://vimeo.com/64573912
14. My short film, which I produced and directed for Red 5 Studios and Continuum Films, got published yesterday. The film's executive producers are Mark Kern and Cindi Rice. Mark posted some months ago on reduser about his ambitious project of funding short films (check out the thread). Only request for getting the funds was that the film has to be interesting for gamers (and of course the script and the showreels of the director and DoP had to be approved). Nowadays, views on youtube are a currency. I do have a great new film project which I want to shoot for stage5, but to get the funds, this first film has to be successful. So please have a look at my film "Partner" and, if you like it, share it with your friends. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrG8Y3N4_Qs&feature=share&list=PLlfX4F00N7cuTA3E5Ew33yE_DInODzztN   We shot the film on a RED Scarlet with Nikon AIs lenses. Colorgrading was done in Resolve.   If you have any questions about the production, filming in Berlin, what gear we used or the post production process, go ahead and ask :)   Cheers David
15. Just for the hell of it, filmed myself running in the Texas countryside and put it to a Johnny Cash song.   http://vimeo.com/56426354
16. Hey there! Just finished up a short film for a local "make a film in a week" competition, and thought I'd share it. It won Best Director, was nominated for Best Drama, and was shot entirely on the Canon 5D MKIII with Zeiss ZF.2 glass. Let me know what you think! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XB5EBZa1qeU
17. Hi! I wanted to share with you our new channel (which has actually existed for some time now, but it's only now that we've officially launched it). It's a way for us to work on very short narrative videos every week and get to be a little more known on what we do, and specially sharing the stuff we've made and we'll keep on making. There's mostly old shorts by now, the majority of them being comedy and a few drama and action oriented, among others. Still, our strength as a group is comedy and these are some of the highlights (all of them feature English subs, so please enable them if you need to):   First, the promo for the channel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfEdp5fH95o   Now this is a teaser we made for a contest, and it's a movie that we've been working on in several ways for a long time, but it still remains to be shot (this is a fake teaser, as was requested by this contest). Shot on the HV20!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG04H-8jjvU   And finally the only short we've shot on the GH2 so far, a kinda advertising spoof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rylbADFc4I   Oh, and this one is very old, it was mostly improvised and there are several "dead times" and other problems with it, but if you enjoy massacres you'll like it. :P http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nPnEPV1bGY   If you like what you see, please like, comment and subscribe to find out when we release new short films (every thursday is what we're planning), and if you can please give us a Like on Facebook as well! Down at http://www.facebook.com/DDDproducciones I hope you like this, and please tell me what you think!

I figured a story about a guy that feeds his wife to the homeless was the perfect vehicle for this rubber-faced lunatic whose parents never let him pursue acting. At the same time, I another short I wrote, Smash the Kitty, was showing up on the festival circuit. The comedy horror feature I wrote was being optioned by a production company who was looking at a string of bad directors and reality stars for the project.
