Also, considering that it's impossible to make do with just one of those (it has to be softened down, and probably reflected off to get it as fill light apart from the spot light), it is not the right tool for Low Budget Indie Films (especially Shorts). I saw this a few days ago, but, it's only now that I read the entire specs sheet. This is a Superb Idea for Indie Filmmakers. With 3 of more of these, you have Super Portable Lighting, which is controllable via your smartphone (both Android and iPhone). The brightness, and flash can both be synced via the phone, and you can control upto 5 of these devices via Single Device (phone). What's even more amazing is that it's water resistant, has a magnet, and some dirt cheap mounting options via Joby. I doubt whether it can get better than this. The Cherry on the cake, though, is that it has internaiton shipping. I think this would be superb, especially for smaller spaces. What do you guys think? I got a Note 2, and I was just checking its Video Features, and, I love some of the presets. As a matter of fact, I found that the presets are very, very interesting. I like the resolution of the video video camera, too. I only wish, it had a faster lens (it has an f2.6 lens).   Somehow, the idea of using a mobile device, to make films, or videos, seems more interesting, than using a camera, lens, mics, stands (tripods, tracks etc), external monitor etc.   I wish, that Rode would make a Mic compatible with Android Devices, too. Also, I wish Magic Lantern would create apps, much on the lines of their famous hacks.      I checked a few videos from the Note 2, and the quality, in bright light, is pretty amazing. Hi, I have a blog with self-hosted videos. One of the main functions of the blog is to be able to view videos on a mobile device like an iPhone 4s. I currently use the h.264 format with the "iPhone widescreen" preset on Adobe Encoder, which has the benefit of a small file size but the images tend to be muddy. Anyone have any export settings presets or tips for exporting videos to be viewed on mobile devices like an iPhone 4s or Android device? I am looking for a custom set-up that has better video image quality than the "iPhone widescreen" preset mixed with a reasonable file size for medium to fast load-up time for a 3G mobile network connection. My content: - I shoot all of the videos with the GH2 hacked high bitrate setting; - All of my videos are about 30 seconds to two minutes long, so encoding a 200-300MB file to around 30-40MB file size. Looking forward to any advice you have!!
