I'll wait and see what Sony and Sigma and Red have to offer.  I suspect I'm not the only one here thinking this? I do wish they had surprised us with usable AF and internal ND.

Not convinced by the footage so far. Need to see more.

Of course you'd find a way to be negative about this. Been putting down these S cameras post after post. Now the S1H will do RAW too courtesy of Atomos! I'm sure you have something negative to say about that too. Oh, and Sony doesn't even offer 10bit internal or external on any of their cameras. Stuck on 8bit no 4K60p! In 2019! LOL

  2. Never noticed any moire myself.

OT, but I just have to say it. People, get the Sigma 14-24 2.8 either Canon mount with MC-21 or the new L iteration which has different internals and is much lighter. Either way, it is amazing with the S1-- especially w/ flat or neutral color profile. My new favorite lens and my 40mm 1.4 Art is no slouch, probably the sharpest lens I own, but that 14-24... wow! Seems just as sharp and probably sharper than many a prime crazy as that sounds. Will have to post samples...

And that orchestral footage above is stunning @ ISO 6400!

What part of $2500 for a full frame 10bit V-LOG shooting camera isn't a bargain? The $2000 or the $500? Oh and it is also a kick ass stills camera with best EVF on the market and Super 35mm 4K 60p like an X-T3, but still isn't a bargain?

    Exactly.

Especially if you were lucky enough to be an earlyI adopter. Bought my S1 by April 4th, so got free battery grip, free battery, free 3-year extended warranty, and now free upgrade for $2500.

    Bargain of the year!

No flip screen, no PDAF and no built in ND? Disappointing. I think Panasonic will remain a distant last place sales wise.

Oh well, nothing to see folks, just a more usable 6k photo mode... that no one asked for.

(...) the S-series in general is a dud.

Why is the flip screen somehow never an issue for SONY A7 cameras? Or for the Nikon Z6 and Z7 for instance? I only seem to see that much moaning about the flipscreens on the S1/S1R.

Just read through the whole thread and you do nothing but bash the S1/S1R and the S1H, a camera none of us have seen yet. Do you have a vested interest in this somehow?
