Man this P6K footage is so bad and vidoish.
Wow the P4K looks like a baby camera next to the P6K footage.

Nothing wrong with the EF mount. How many cine cameras use the EF mount?
The footage from the P6K already has better cadence and a more filmic look then the P4K. There has to be more data being captured at a better scan rate then the P4K.
And what you and everyone else has been saying is who needs, who can work with and 6K is not better then the P4K with a speed-booster. This footage shows the P6K is more cinematic then the P4K.

Skip77 reacted to Andrew Reid in Jinni Tech claims RED Compressed RAW patent filing is invalid
It is widely known in the camera industry that RED owns a key patent for a cinema cameras featuring compressed RAW.
It is also alleged the technology has featured in a number of past legal claims RED have had over rival camera companies.
Now third party accessory manufacturer Jinni Tech alleges RED "deceived the US patent office" and filed the critical patent late.

Nice shots in there, some of them very clear and with lots of details! ?
What Lens/es did you use here?
What look did you want to achieve, or was it only a simple test of the cameras resolution etc?

Thank you!
No specific look ... grading was to test DR and color fidelity.
Canon 50 F 1.2 for one and Zeiss 100 F2 Makro for the other ... listed in the opening credits.
Really looking at highlights and how natural the overall feel could be ...
My bias is from the perspective of a landscape and portrait photography background ... so I tend to pick times for the appropriate
light and convey what it imparts to a scene.

So now you think you're a snob and bring up global shutter? I know global shutter and it has issues or everyone would use global shutter.
Again for the 100th time. My link and post was only about cadence and motion. Feel free to add actual comments to debate that if you like, I welcome that. But don't insult us and make backyard comments about the footage looking videoish. On anther post you'll praise the S1 for it's cinematic look.
And stop the b.s. comments that you're making. You said: "I have said more than once that I'm convinced that the P6K can capture cinematic footage." This is such a backhanded compliment that it's mind boggling. What's the deal. I thought you were a straight up down the line guy? Stop with the videoish and I'n certain the 6K can be cinematic.
You're turning into a negative influencer. Look at the comment below your original one after my video. One of your sheep chimed in the same way.
Again - cadence motion is better on the P6K then the P4K and that was what my link and comment were about.

Thought I would share a couple of explorations I have done with the P6K ...
After considerable time with the P4K I began looking for something a bit bigger ... yet most of the cameras out there have an element that
represents a compromise ... and it can be a struggle to decide what you really need in a camera. All about the image quality and sound that
you can capture ... and lens mount sensor preamps and ergonomics play a big part in how we can capture what we see.
I was pleased to see the announcement of the P6K as the P4K has worked well for my needs.
So this week ... heat index outside was 108F ... I captured a bunch of things inside to look at light and color. Also played with the XLR inputs to insure that
this camera works as well as the P4K.
Here are a couple of short-lived videos ... cannot leave them up for long due to music I added for myself ... hate looking at video without a background of sound.
Not cinema ... no drama ... just moving pictures ... video if it suites you. Capture at 5.7K BM Raw Quality 0 to the CFast card in 24p without and difficulty and
rendered on a 4K DCI timeline with a 2K DCI output. Output as ProRes 422 ...

I love the extra resolution and great color science that was in the P4K (v4).

What is 50fps supposed to look like? It's slower then reality. You have a You Tube channel and that's the best way you can describe videoish? Amazing.
You saying any footage looks videoish is a put down that is left for people to thing a camera is sub par. Your comments prove this.
The grade put on the camera can push the color and tonal values in any direction but you commented on that. The clarity is not over done at all and not "sharpened" or unnatural.
You're nothing but biased and your word is not real. I want to trust You Tube influencers but your response to the P4K is amateurish at best.
And I just watched S1 with the new update look like iHone garbage compared to the P6K footage I posted.
Nothing I said about the P6K footage had to do with the color grade and everything to do with cadence and how it handled motions, background and captured data information. You guys need to read my comment before you use the word videoish. Next time you pick out GH5, S1 and P4K footage make sure you watch out for the motion stutter because it seems like you all have a blind eye when it comes to admitting that those 3 camera have issues in that department.
Motion in film is like silk because its capturing real like. Real life doesn't have stutter and jitters.
You need to revisit film versus the low end motion and cadence. And then revisit the P6K footage.
Motion in film is like silk because its capturing real like. Real life doesn't have stutter and jitters.

Skip77 got a reaction from EthanAlexander in 6K RAW is over-rated. Here's why...
No your test wasn't right. You show two video clips and say one was cropped in. Redo the test the right way and maybe you have point. Math is also not on your side. Use RAW footage and see what happens. The footage you used is not very detailed and very little areas are in focus. That was not a real world test and the footage looked the same.

We are talking productions shot in 4K not box office success.
I'm sorry the tone of my comments offends you but it shouldn't.
Pitching scripts to Hollywood has not changed and it's the same with Netflix

How much you guys wanna bet BMD P6K is more future proof then you think? You all missed the fact that we all stream 2k and 4K content over the web to devices that show more detail and better quality then your flat panel above your fireplace.
As I stated above, the Netflix and streaming content providers are the reason 6K and 8K matter.
If you're watching that NFL game or soccer game live then that 50in flat panel is the way to go because they stream in 4K. But for tv and movies and original content streaming is the way everything is going. It's all about cutting the cord.
Now I'm all good and support getting the best 4k cameras and streaming options available and agree the demand for 8K in not what most people want. But it's a different time right now with 4K to 8K then when we went jumped from 720p to 1080p and then to 4K.
@Emanuel have you watched "The Last Kingdom" on Netflix? If so what did you think?

US was not on topic. Only entered because of EU changes we face today and affects camera supply too, hence the topic. No one here was trying to contradict Donald aka webrunner5 in his personal ramblings. I don't even discuss his thoughts, private experience and the whole of his posting content. When we comment this or that aspect, it doesn't mean we refuse everything the poster is saying. We can agree or disagree with a fewer part or not in a greater or less extent. No problem on that. The beef rises up at times when we intend to believe we know what the other side is or knows about something. Better to not presume anything. Some people can even live in more than a country or continent or reaching contact with a diverse range of distinct realities more or less closer to us. Why to think we know more than the other? Why to believe we are the expert on some topic or context? Or the alien must have fewer information, otherwise why he or she is called alien?? : D
What do we know about whom we're talking to?
Hard to know or guess who the other side is ; ) We're just guessing too often : ) Without mention, personal attacks based on presumptions as those already read here are even more ridiculous to say the least. As a few have hinted and we two concur as part of the same angle there I'm sure, let's focus on P6K topic please. For now, I wonder how this camera can be ready to ship for soon and there's no footage from the manufacturer part yet.

You are not as smart as you think you are. Coming across as some highly educated person isn't always the best foot forward. You are the one of the worse people on here to understand. I have no clue what you are trying to say half the time trying to come across as Holier than thou. I sure doubt I am alone. We are not all 5th graders you can impress on here. Grow up. Get off your pretend high horse and join the real world. Speak Kings English, I am sure you took it. If not I Highly recommend it. It is sort of in now.

Don't believe the media. It's safe in America and just as safe as the U.K. Every country has it's problems.
I don't have a negative opinion of the U.K. and would love to travel and visit.

Nice review of the Z6, S1, A7III and EOS-R
Here's some great Z6 footage.
Classic case were AF follow focus through the touch screen beats manual focus. (Beats as in much easy and you can just get the shot and worry about the shot).
This footage compares to the P4K and C200 in my eyes. Looks rich and deep data rate coverage.
