Feel your pain, but the cameras are already built - following a CML email thread I saw that John Brawley received his factory-built, final firmware unit yesterday.

Its fair to say the electronic shutter doesn't always fair brilliantly.
This train was only pulling away from the platform rather than speeding through it and the distortion is obviously, erm, "somewhat" apparent.

The bigger concern you might have in your application though is with LED stage lighting as the banding can be pretty horrendous as this quick snap of a sign in a lift shows.
Suffice to say, there were no yellow and green stripes on the printed page !

Yeah, regarding Prores Raw licencing, I read somewhere about implementation of PRORES RAW internally in MAVO edge 8K camera, whether there were any issues regarding patents. Kinefinity replied that "Patents are restricted to US but not in other countries and we don't sell any products in US."

IBIS (just licence the one from your partners in Panasonic or buy one from JIP\Olympus) PDAF Internal BRAW 4k60p Record to SSD Big, bright, 5 inch flip-out screen 1.8 primes, like 20, 35, 50, 85 Don't mind camera to get bigger with all of that

Thank you for the suggestions so far.
I have sent a link to Mr Kazuto Yamaki-san and the Sigma Fp / Cine product manager Mr Wakamatsu-san.

Fuji have licensed PDAF on Sony sensor so I am sure others are allowed to as well. I think with Panasonic it's more that they have invested long term in a different technology and don't want to waste that. DFD with AI may get better in the future and rival PDAF. But they need to hurry up because the current state of affairs is just not good enough!
Thanks for the suggestions so far. Great stuff.

Agree that ProRes internal would be ideal just as BMD have used as a secondary codec to raw.
Internal Compressed Raw Codec (such as Braw) even if it has to be a paid upgrade would be worth it as it prevents having to mount a top heavy monitor on a slim camera.
attachable/detachable EVF is also something ive been waiting for in a Mirrorless camera. It would be great to be able to customize EVF placement when rigging up or using a slim (Unrigged) hand held mode.

I'm sure they are very nice, but I'm not seeing myself buy apsc lenses for a non fuji system, I'm waiting for the upcoming small full frame primes from sigma

I am now seriously considering buying the Sigma FP, which looks amazing, to complement my Sony a7iii.  On specs, the Sigma FP looks amazing, but I have the following concerns:

    1.  Battery life - how long can you use it?  Obviously I could stick a USB power bank on it, but that kind of defeats the purpose of a small camera right?

    2.  Will anyone make an affordable variable-ND mount adapter for it?  On my Sony a7iii I mostly use Nikon primes, and have an amazing (and cheap) mount adapter where I just turn the ring to seamlessly control the exposure.  It's beautiful and there's definitely space for it with the L-Mount's short flange distance, but as far as I can tell this product doesn't exist yet.  I could use my Matte-Box which has been gathering dust for years now, but really I cannot stress just how incredible having a variable ND filter in the lens mount is.

    3.  Will cropping/lossless digital zoom be useful and easy?  The Sony a7iii excels in this, and makes it easy to use one prime lens at multiple focal lengths with no loss of quality.  The Sigma's sensor is big enough, just need to know if it has that functionality.

    4.  Can you see the screen in bright sunlight?  I like to shoot outdoors.  I could buy a separate EVF, but that's pushing the price up more, as well as probably putting more stress on the battery.

So those are my concerns, does anyone have any experience to share with this very promising camera?  With Canon and Sony both coming out with new cameras soon the field is very competitive, but the Sigma FP does look like a strong contender.

Maybe one day Atomos will take the hint about doing a 4K Ninja Star.
Of course with the fp being able to record to an external SSD itself you would imagine it might be unecessary to use a full on external system anyway but I'm guessing this might be the only way to currently deal with RED's patent.

Yeah I just got the battery grip for my Fuji. I think it will be a relevant camera for a long time especially because they are going for $900 on the used market. Its an insane price/quality ratio similar to the Blackmagic offerings only using a Fuji is much more practical(tilt screen, AF, etc..) I agree though its always a pain to have to mix cameras in productions. Though if you are shooting RAW on your A cam its not as hard to match up. I am hoping SAGE gets an URSA mini Alexa LUT and XT3 lut out soon. That might be my go to for color matching.
