I think this is going to be priced out of reach for most indie filmmakers and jobbing one-man-bands.  Where I can see this being really popular is as a b-cam, tricky-corner cam, backup body, etc. on professional crewed shoots.  If I was DPing on something critical with a top end cinema camera, I'd really love to have something like this sitting in a bag on standby.  It looks like it's capable of being tuned to deliver footage that could live alongside top level stuff quite convincingly (based on how the S1 is shaping up).
I can't think of a better combo for that particular usage (which is big money if it really catches on).
Also, small productions (web series', multi-cam doc, etc.) might be interested.  There's a lot of money to be saved over full-blown cinema cameras, especially if you're buying several units.
I just can't see solo operator / owners coming in in large numbers.  So far, there's not enough to suggest value over the other fantastic cameras in the sector.  Plus, if you really need to step up in quality the fully-featured cinema cameras start to come into range for just a bit more.  Also, the inbetweeny market is starting to come to life a bit (Z Cam), so there's that temptation too.
I'm not so fixated on either FF or 6K as selling points.  Of course, I'm happy to take them if on offer, but give me a really super-functioning S35 camera at 4K and my money's yours.  The market as a whole may feel differently!
So far Panansonic's L-Mount offerings all seem perfectly interesting, but from a selling POV, a bit niche.  I hope they know what they're doing.

There will be no cheap "consumer" cameras in five years.  It will either be "wannabe professional", or professional cameras.  I know that's harsh, but with smartphones taking over photos and video, limited markets mean higher per unit costs for cameras.

Depends on when it's released. Z Cam has FF 6k60 with a planned October release. But I agree with everything you say. It shouldn't be taken lightly that this thing has specs well beyond any of the competition, as was the S1 for that matter.

And there are a lot of specs/features that we haven't heard anything about. Rolling shutter? Even if it gets down to ~10ms that would be huge over other FF cameras. How about timecode? Or something as simple as two 1/4-20 holes on the bottom? Nikon is the closest so far, with a 1/4-20 and a locator pin. What if they add a mini XLR like the P4k? A DC power input would streamline a rig. I know most of those probably won't be present, but it's worth waiting to see before dissing it. 6k might be a headline feature, but I'm more interested in the multitude of little things that would make my life easier.

Well I think one of the main reasons Panasonic gets their competitive edge is they were smart. lucky to have had the GH style camera body to start with, and now the S1 body, both being as some people complain, being too big, large, heavy. Well it is proving to be a god send for Panny as everyone, like it or not, is going to have to come up with a larger body to deal with the excess heat. Panasonic is on a roll, but I still worry their luck is running out. This whole FF field is just Way to crowded to have any of them make a decent amount of money doing it.

If everyone got their wishes fulfilled with this camera, it would cost $15,000 USD!

I just want better timecode via BNC, and less lag time for external monitors, hopefully with SDI.

It seems to be more front to back than side to side.  Anyone else think that, or do I need a better crystal ball?

The latest rumor is the new camera will be bigger than the Panasonic S1.  If you add up the rumor "built like a tank", a new name Cine Lumix, and bigger than a S1, perhaps the new camera will have a different form. Maybe like Kinifinity, or EZ-CAM?

EF mount is dead!  Canon did the same to FD mount lenses and cameras in the late 1980's.  If Canon predicts a 50 percent drop in camera sales, then they need to generate new revenue by selling the latest fad to people with money to burn.  If you have EF cameras and lenses, sell them now so you can get top dollar.

The $1K-$10K-$100K theme is a marketing ploy.  The $1,000 spot looks amateurish, while the $10,000 spot looks a lot better, yet the $100,000 spot does not add a lot more to the finished product.
Offer three different trim levels on automobiles, and most people will buy the middle level.  I'm not sure what type of client would spend $100,000 on a commercial, but I'm sure that this company is marketing to clients who are willing, and able to buy a commercial for $10,000.

The upside of this might be, you are walking down the street and get filmed by a news crew. The footage gets shown on TV, you sue, and become an instant millionaire. Soccer matches anyone?

It makes sense that Panasonic has introduced FF mirrorless cameras now - Get in on the FF game now before Canon and Nikon mirrorless systems are established.
I've been a fan of Canon film cameras since 1975, and still have A and F series cameras, but I bought an EOS 10s (film) and never liked the thing. (Too big and bulky.)  I never thought Canon digital cameras were the way to go forward, and when the Panasonic G3 came out, that fit my still photographic needs.
With m43 you can go small and light, or rig up some monstrous and expensive glass.  Pound for pound (money and weight), m43 will get what most people consider excellent photos and video.  I see more benefits with m43 format in film making.  It is only a 1.3 crop factor from s35 movie film.  You can get wide aperture lenses to compensate for depth of field, and you need less light when you do. mFT has the advantage if you do want more depth of field.  Try photographing a group from 5 feet away with a 24mm at f2.8 on full frame!
It also makes sense for Tony N. to say FF is the way.  After all, he's getting paid most of the time when he is lugging around the ton of FF cameras and lenses he uses.
By the way, the best image quality I get is with my full frame Cambo 5"x7", but I'm also very happy with my G3, GH3, GH4, GH5, AE-1, FtB, F1, (2x)F1n, Sinar F1, and Graflex cameras.
