With the larger of the grips available, or the cage inc. grip from Smallrig, plus the EVF, pretty much...which is why you then have to ask yourself the question, "what does it do, that something else does not?"
Maybe it's the colour science or some other aspect?
Maybe because you are just one of those people that say "damn convention!" and just make it work.
I've just looked at the work of twice voted best wedding videographer in Europe and he's moved to shooting the FP handheld from Black Magic.
Some will want to rig it out, but for me, the appeal of it is pretty much straight out of the box, other than the smallest hand grip attachment which barely adds any size. Bare bones simplicity.

The problem is it is not just about money, or financial reward in other ways.
The way Youtube is set up, video makers are bumped up the rankings by the number of views their videos get, and by how long viewers are engaged. One major way to achieve that is to be the first to review a new product.
All the camera companies have to do to discourage any negativity is to not offer a Youtube reviewer a new product, or be slow in offering it. No money has changed hands.
In the music gear game, backhanders has long been a problem. Magazines rely on gear advertising for their income, so would be hesitant to give an item a bad review in case the manufacturer pulled their advertising. What happened was that magazines would only review gear they could be positive about.
Maybe the same will eventually happen on Youtube. If a new bit of gear doesn't get reviewed much, read into that most reviewers thought it was garbage.

Chris Whitten got a reaction from BTM_Pix in Fuji XT3 vs Sigma FP (sort of...)
I got my FP cheap on Ebay UK about 6 months ago. They come up at least monthly, obviously from disgruntled or frustrated purchasers.
I have a Fuji XT3 and have had a BMPCC 4K. For me the Sigma FP is stellar at both stills and video.
I haven't used my XT3 for video as I love the Davinci Resolve workflow and it's a hassle getting the Fuji codec in there.
I don't think you would shoot video on the FP, or at least get the best out of it on the internal SD card. I use a very small external SSD.
Soon after buying the FP I wanted to sell my XT3, but then Fuji pre-announced the XT4 and my XT3 dropped in value about £200-£300 overnight.
The XT3 is easier to use than the FP. The pictures are lovely, especially with Fuji's film emulations. The auto focus is great and the lenses are varied and very good too.
I find the FP RAW photo files to be more detailed. I'm using mine in manual, with Leica M lenses and very affordable Pentax Asahi Takumar. The images are fantastic.
I too am waiting, hoping, on some more full frame Sigma L Mount lenses. I could use the back screen with auto focus, but at the moment have to use the add-on viewfinder to manual focus.
The XT3 is a lot cheaper now, a very excellent camera and easier to use (due to the auto focus superiority). I find the FP more rewarding and more fun. I think it walks all over the XT3 for pure video quality personally.

Seems crazy to have a second native ISO, but not two accurate light meter readings, one for each.

I personally agree that exposure is not really an issue. I'm used to using a light meter or a grey card and false color with the Digital Bolex or Fuji X-T3, and for the most part that can be done with the fp. Highlight clipping is more tricky though.
Sorry if the topic has been derailed. I was originally commenting on what the external raw recording may bring to the table as far as more accurate monitoring, and how that may relate to the "none" picture mode. If you want I can post on the other thread instead.
I did also mention that people are creating great images with this camera. I saw some of your gorgeous images. Regardless of its quirks when it comes to color workflow, it has a lot going for it. It just depends on the context. I work in film post production and so maybe I'm being too demanding as far as what I expect from this camera, but it seems close to usable in that context.
What I'm actually advocating is something much more simple and robust than the rather complex ideas that I see people posting using the log curves of other cameras, which are not necessarily technically accurate workflows anyway. But I understand people need to fill in workflow gaps.

For me the 10bit CDNG is not obviously sharpened or extremely prone to moire and artefacts. Shooting at 25fps only.

    Thanks.
I used the Blackmagic Design setting in both colour space and gamma. I find the FP CDNG footage very easy to basic grade (exposure, saturation etc).
Then as I am usually looking for a stylised final look, I dropped someone's Kodakrome LUT on a final node - which gives it the darker contrast with richer colours.
I'm often doing it quick and dirty for films on Instagram to support my music.
The shirt has a weave pattern (as well as the check)  I know I would have had moire problems with using my original BMD Pocket five or six years ago.

The CDNG's are never sharpened,  but they are line skipped/binned at the higher frame rate 100fps,  I will check at 60fps,  I think that will be better.

It is a very basic, stripped-down camera.

(No EVF, no mechanical shutter, only two dials and only one customizable button, no Wifi, no Bluetooth, no IBIS, no phase-detection AF, no high flash sync speed, no dual SD card slots...)

Yeah, I'm seeing the white box on all screens. I'm only using legacy lenses (Pentax and Leica M).

Ditto, I'm 99% using M lenses on dumb adapter. Focus box always there in Stills. Disappears in Cine.

Main things for me is a way to shoot braw without attaching a large additional box or monitor, like an SSD.
Way to lose the white focus box in screen.
Maybe a hot shoe mounted LCD rather than the bulky and awkward loupe.

Like I said, don't shoot the messenger. I only use manual lenses. But if you look around the web, hardly anyone is singing the praises of the FP and a lot of people are complaining about vlogger type features like auto-focus, articulating screen etc.

Some people are just down on the FP. That's fine. Obviously people have varying needs and some are just not taken with this camera. It often does read like a statement of fact however. I bought mine slightly used, obviously from a disgruntled early adopter.
I have shot numerous short films using CDNG, 10 bit. Apart from a couple of minor bugs before the last firmware update (early spring). I have not seen any lines or artefacts. It is super easy to import into Davinci Resolve (drag and drop the folders). It is also very easy to grade, despite some disappearing down a rabbit hole of stats and codecs.
It is a slow camera for stills work. The loupe is bulky, but essential for me as I'm a reading glasses wearer. The screen is a blurred fade in daylight if I try and use it without the loupe.
Agreed, the ISO is one click to the QS menu. I generally decide what my ISO should be for a project and use shutter speed and aperture to expose my pictures from there. back in the day you had to determine the ISO as you loaded a 30 shot film. At least now it's auto-ISO, or a one click menu change.
I do not have any L mount lenses (yet). Last week I shot one of my favourite raw stills ever. I processed it in Capture One. Again, super easy. I just adjusted the levels, added a little contrast and it looked fantastic. I forgot to add any saturation before I exported it, but the colours look lovely (slightly pastel).
I have a Leica Q stills camera, and a BMD Pocket 4K, and for me the Sigma FP matches both in end result. I am enjoying using it easily as much as those two cameras.
I only keep the Pocket 4K for Braw. If there was a very small unit I could record Braw to from the FP I would sell my Pocket 4K.

Somehow it was discouraged to further add to the thread.
Anyway, I had to shoot a very short clip over the weekend. It is so easy.
I dropped it into Davinci Resolve - engaged the Blackmagic Film setting in the camera drop down (as some have advised not to), didn't use ACES, adjusted a bit of exposure, contrast and saturation and it looked great. Job done.

Do not do it. We have the shadow flickering bug that affects only some cameras - so in case this needs to be fixed in hardware, you will be out of luck.
Besides, have you fully read the statement by Sigma? Any repair of a grey market camera does not only need to be paid out of your own pocket, but you'll also be charged $250 extra. That means that the money you saved will evaporate as soon as you need the camera to be serviced.
