I wouldn't say he is a Sony guy. 
He is using BM cameras as well and he seems always loyal to simplicityon working sets.
He offered not to release his opinion on FP-L as he knew that he couldn't hide the truth he discovered.
That's very fair for him and honorable for Sigma that didn;t try to cover up his gray opinion.

I have the R5 and the 1Dx III but not the R6 but the 1Dx III being somewhat similar (probably the same) sensor I may help a bit.
R5 FF 4k vs 1Dx III FF 4k is very similar as you say but the rolling shutter is a huge difference.
R5 4k 120 is miles ahead of 1Dx III 1080 120….. not even fair.
R5 4k LQ is miles ahead of 1Dx III 1080
 
On the processing of RAW vs. 10bit other than on an M1 or waiting on the new intel CPUs the RAW is way faster in Resolve PC. RAW is much faster. The problem for is mostly storage so it depends on your usage and archiving strategy. I would suggest downloading some files 10bit and RAW and compare on your machine.
 
So far I never hit the recording limit of the R5 and I mostly shoot RAW or 4k 120. But here is cold and I do a lot of 1-2min max takes with breaks in between. Before I was turning the camera off between takes now I don’t bother anymore.
But having say that not sure I would live with the R6 risk that I cannot shoot 4k…….. as I said 4k LQ is way better that full hd actually imo is a solid 4k….
 
R5 big plus:
- Rolling shutter
- RAW
- very usable 120fps
- Non overheating 4k modes FF and S35
R6 plus:
- cheaper
- 4k 60fps quality
Are these worth 2k more? Only you can really answer this.

I'd assume so but who knows with goofy Canon. Regardless the (10-bit) oversampled 4K is what I'm after in the R6..
By the way, here is a review that sorta made me consider the R6:
 

Long time no post. I've been riding this one out. After some comparative testing I'm leaning towards the R6 as an upgrade to my sold EOS R.
Why? First the obvious, it's 2K cheaper and I can't really justify the R5 at this point in time.
Second, after some testing the R6 4K (supersampled from 5.5K) footage really isn't that much worse than R5 4K HQ and is much better than R5 4K LQ.
Third, I don't need 8K or Raw. Too heavy files, too much editing processing power needed.
Fourth, although 45MP could be useful, 20MP will do just fine.
The only real downside I see for my needs is the poor RS and a warmer yellow tint on the R6.
Anyone else agree/disagree? Oh and yes I know about the overheating & the A7S3 😅

What are you actually talking about? You are absolutely ridiculous. I started photography with a 450D, used the 5D2 for years, the 5D3 for years. I have got the A7R II, the GH5, the GX85, Nikon D5500 and D5600, the A7III and multiple others.
I am bashing shitty products from any company, and praising good products from good companies. You are again into this brand loyalty thing. It’s not about jumping ship, there is no ship. Only products.

What a bunch of nonsense. You think you know me but you don't know shit. I'm probably one of the most brand agnostic persons around here.
While I have my preferences when it comes to camera companies for various subjective reasons, I started photography on Nikon equipment and still shoot film with them. Did a lot of work on the D750. I was one of the first here to go all-in the Fuji hybrid revolution with XT2. My favorite camera is my Leica M9P. I've owned the A7S2 and I also currently own a Sony FS7, my professional workhorse. Finally I won't hesitate to rent a RED/ARRI or whatever if budget/crew allows it. Oh and I won't even go into lens manufacturers.
So you see trying to pigeonhole me as a Canon fanboy is pretty ridiculous. Its not cuz I enjoy a particular camera, that I hate others.
I stand by my word about EOS R. As flawed as it may seem, for my personal usage its a great hybrid. 
Laugh all you want.. IDGAF. I work within camera systems. The body is only one element..
That said, I never stated EOS R was perfect or better than any other camera. I only defended it against attacks of those that thought it was a useless POS. Most of whom never even picked one up.
And that's one thing I don't understand in these forums is people talking shit about gear they have never touched or have any intention of using. That to me is true fanboyism.

I notice that Canon released C300 III with an EF mount not a RF .
They would obviously see the Komodo's chance in market before they abandon the popular EF mount.

R5 sent Sony back to the drawing boards for the 28th time.

The vignetting is horrible in FF photo/video mode.  Totally unusable and the only way around it is to set photo and video to crop.  Keep a standard canon adaptors for any full frame use.  DPAF seems fine but i need to test it more.
