  1. Hi,

There's a suggestion at DPReview, which does not usually go in for rumours unless it thinks they can be substantiated, that Samsung is no longer selling the NX1 in Europe. If true, anything currently on sale will be existing stock. What is certainly puzzling is Samsung's half hearted approach. Their cameras have been well received and the NX1 was no exception, receiving 87% and a gold award in DPReview's own appraisal, yet Samsung does not seem to have promoted it. I thought I might be able to see one at The Photography Show earlier this year, but Samsung was not there. Admittedly, there is not a huge range of lenses available and no new ones have been added recently, which begs the question why develop the camera if there is no commitment to introducing a complete system? Maybe there is a NX2 waiting in the wings, but that would suffer a similar fate unless Samsung changes its strategy.

    Any help will be apprecited.

  2. Hi,

I want to build a Photo Booth for a wedding.I want to use the Samsung NX Mini as the Camera.
The Samsung Tab 3 7.0 as the remote shutter, using a 3-4 seconds timer on the Cam.I additionally want to share the pictures instantly to a screen in a slideshow with automatic updates.I have figured out how to use the App Remote Finder (Samsung Smart Camera App) to remote control the camera. The problem with it is, that the camera turns off the display after 20-30 seconds. I still want that the people can see themselves in the camera screen. That could probably be solved with a tv screen via HDMI next to the cam.The other unsolved thing is how to share the pictures to a slidshow on a TV, or Beamer. The camera can´t use Remote Finder and Sharing to other devices at the same time, as far as I know. So I might have to use a wifi SD card?! Can anybody help me what the best solution could be?

    Any help will be apprecited.

  3. Hi,

I have just doing several BMCC Moire tests to check various pieces of clothing for a short film we are shooting next week on Monday. When sharp, most of the clothing I tested suffer from Moire. While focusing on actors faces, clothes around the shoulders and neck have Moire. This is very disappointing. I am busy in pre-production, but as soon as I have time I will be posting examples of the video footage.I know the BMCC does not have a OLPF. However this is just causing us more problems.Does anyone know of any solutions to fixing the Moire problem on the BMCC, besides not being in focus. Has anyone found any very soft matte box diffusion filters, 4x4 or 4x5.65, that help keep a sharp enough image yet solve the Moire problem?Has anyone tried or successfully used any Mosiac Engineering filters to work with a BMCC?

    Any help will be apprecited.

  4. Hi,

I have been looking around on amazon.com for Blackmagic Camera deals and I couldn't help but notice their many negative reviews. Mainly they were the horrible battery life, hard to see the screen in the sun, goes through SD cards like a kid eats a cookie etc.So I was wondering what your top problems with the cameras are and how you work around them? At this point from what I heard, it would probably make sense to get a camera that is more geared towards the film maker and a camera that you don't need a custom software for post production.

    Any help will be apprecited.
