I switched from Canon in 2016.
However your argument is legit just a product of what happens when your favorite company can release a product and no matter how good (1DXmkii) or bad it is (6Dmkii/EOSRP) they will sell and boatload of them. Exact same thing with Apple and Apple Products.
Why pay more for product R&D when the majority of the user base is totally fine with current spec listing. Its really only the YouTubers and a handful of prosumers that are fed up with canon.

If you buy a B4 lens with the 2x thingy on them they will cover m4/3 easy. The bummer is it also 2x on the Aperture. But a lot of the B4 lenses are a constant f1.7, especially the Fujinon ones which are way more common.
For @kye
And not all B4 lenses are huge. if you buy say a 10x one, and take the Zoom controller off of them, which most of the cheap ones you buy have the servo burnt out on them anyways, they are pretty small. And the zoom servo has a switch to let you use them if does work or not on MF. Yeah shooting kids around parents is a huge problem, especially when you get old like me. Crazy world.
As to price I have found Adorama and ebay the cheapest place to buy used B4 lenses. Once in awhile B&H has a few cheap ones. By cheap I mean 200 dollars and less. One of the ones I have only cost 50 dollars, 13x from Adorama the other was 150 dollars, my 19x. neither had the servo that worked but you can buy them for 25 bucks at times. The 19x ends up being around 930mm on a m/43! Where you going to find a 29-900mm parfocal f1.7, f 3.5 in reality with the doubler on, lens for 150 bucks! The doubler doubles the focal length, and with the 2x crop on m4/3 you end up 4x. Talk about reach. And sharp as a tack on both ends. Not handheld mind you lol.
This is a video I did with my 13x, first time I ever used it on my Panasonic AF100. Second time I ever used the camera lol. My rig at the time was pretty terrible compared to now but you can see how much reach, and how sharp they can be When you focus right lol. And the is the lens I paid 50 dollars for!
honestly sounds over powered if you ask me lol

No AF, but what about using a B mount lens on a m4/3 camera. The ENG 2/3" 2x lenses are cheap as heck, and they are All parfocal. You can buy 10,000 Dollar lenses for 200 Dollars. And some of them are 20x. And they have a constant, fast aperture. Well still pretty fast when you consider the doubler. Still under f4.0 The big Box Lenses can go 80x!
The best trick I have found for using long Telephoto lenses for Photography is to use your Video Fluid Head with them. Works amazingly well. I gave up using my Swing Gimbal a long time ago. I can't say a swing gimbal is useless, for certain things I have used it. Nice for just up and down stuff, but..
Thats something im looking into, FS5/FS7 has a center scan mode which is around 16mm. With that I can run a B4 mount adapter and lens.

Ive actually considered picking up the Canon FD 200mm F4. I own an FD 135mm F2.8 and its pretty good, just not long enough for sports. Also the Canon FD 300mm F4 is on my radar.

Easy with still photography (I would much rather a fast manual focus lens on a good low light camera than the latest greatest not so good low light and/or slow lens for stills) but for video? I think I would need/rather something like a decent AF point and shoot with a long lens for that (and just realise evening sports will suck). For pro use it would be more.
If you work on a team of shooters its more doable, like with NFL films they might have a guy manually focusing a 500, 600mm, or 800mm Prime from the sidelines.
But yes sports videography is alot easier with good autofocus - my latest edit with footage I shot for the ncaa was all autofocus - A6300 + 70 300mm FE a combo ive used since summer 2016
Shooting sports at night with less contrast = focus peaking is almost useless

I currently have a GH5.
I have no clue as to what to look for in camcorders, as I've never followed those devices...
Camcorders make sports a lotttttt easier, you can hookup a lanc controller to just about any camcorder and with that you can get remote rec, zoom, and focus(That's what I had with my Sony Z90), if you get a fancy one there are controllers with custom buttons for things like exposure.
I still have this one - http://www.libecsales.com/products/remote_controls/ZFC-L.html
When the FS5 comes I believe it should work with my 18 - 105 F4.

@kye Definitely appreciate it! I'm just a hungry 22 year old kid. Its possibly the hyped of music. Sorta the new age going forward with sports videography vs the traditional NFL films chill slow motion edit.
Most people that want to work in sports have a degree so I have to work harder to stand out. A lot of pro teams and colleges teams would rather hire someone with a college degree and an average reel than someone with an excellent reel and no degree.
I've found shooting HLG is fantastic for harsh mid day game lighting. (I try to avoid LOG as much as possible).

Yeah the FS5 has gotten seriously cheap as of late.
Buying it off one of my clients, $2000 which was a no brainer.

Lol I said before it even dropped this system (Panasonic S1/S1R) will not sell with its current pricing.
The only brand thats able to over charge and under value is Canon.

Why are you so harsh with everybody questionning Nikon here ? Seriously, do something... some weeks ago, you were liking my post and we were both "defending" the z6 by arguing with others here.
Why are you always answering like we had insulted your family ?!
And why bringing on Sony ? Man, your 2 sides vision of the camera world "good nikon / bad sony" and your constant attacks are really disturbing.. go treat yourself seriously.
Hes insecure about his purchase

I’m a peter fan but for some reason just haven’t bonded with his lut pack. I can’t ever get them to look right.
His luts are made with/for Canon cameras thats why..

Is it fusion specifically or node workflows in general that is baffling? I continue to find fusion's nodes unintuitive for very basic operations (compared to nodes in other software).
From what I've learned/heard so far, nodes make more sense for more serious applications such as Hollywood blockbusters. Thats why programs like the Fusion Standalone and Autodesk flame are commonplace at the highest levels of productions compared to layer based programs like After Effects.
However the layer based programs tend to be better for light effects.

A9mkii is going be to insane. Legendary might be an understatement.
Why is Canon SO Frustrating?!

Its not the higher end stuff like 5D line and the new RF line that bring in the serious cash.
Its the low end consumer cameras like the t5 (1200d), t6 (1300d), and 4000d that keep canon at the no.1 spot.
Which that $300 - $500 price point/market is drastically dying out to smartphones with great cameras like the IPhone 10 and Pixel 3.
