  1. Hi, everybody!

I'm Pablo and I'm from Spain and I have enough money to buy one of this two cameras (BMPCC6K PRO or SIGMA FP) but I don´t know which one to choose. I would love to have feedback from people who has them or have work with them.

I will use the camera for short films and VFX work. My last camera was a Panasonic GH2.

    Thanks in advance.

Here are the cinema cameras we use all the time from Feature films to run n gun documentaries. I have shot with Epic and Alexa in hot, dusty outback Australia as well as sleet and snow and have not had issues.

Pic1. Red Epic has two large holes with fans on the top.

A Large plastic bag looks very low tech, but given that these cameras can all be rigged so differently depending on shoot requirements, t's by far the most versatile way and gets the job done.

Thank you. I have never shot with a cinema camera and this helps a lot.

Ive had a couple of cameras with vents. The BMCC, BMPC4K, D16, Red-1 and XC-10.

None of them have given me any issues with it. The BMCC and BMPC4K also had the vents close to the tripod plate but it was fine (btw, I still suspect this is a BMCCii thats been renamed).

No one can guarantee that it will work just as good on this camera, but I wouldn't worry about it if the camera ticks your other boxes.

    Thank you, Mattias.

  4. I really like this camera but there is an issue that it is making me not buy it: the vent system.

How do you prevent dust and water to go through the vent system? I worried about this because it looks like that is not wheater sealed enough. And also the hole below the camera could be closed due to the plate of a trypod...

There is people telling me that Red and Arri have the same issue so I have to get over it.

For the price point and the features offered, this camera is amazing. But I need to know that my 1290€ are not going to the toilet because I was shooting in a location and some soft rain screw the sensor through the vent system...

    Thanks in advance

According to my understanding, Panasonic created VLog L to better work with the GH4/GH5's native 12 stops of dynamic range possible from the sensors.  Full VLog is created for the 14 stops of dynamic range possible from their Varicam line.  So, adding full VLog to the Lumix cameras would not give a better dynamic range as the sensors cannot capture more than 12 stops.

Thanks! I didn't know about it.
