Thanks for the link, but as I described, there were no fungus but only bubly coating  Nice link, and I'll try it next time I have a lens with fungus.
I found a small company that can polish the lenses and apply new coating. The price is around 300 € for spherical lenses. But they are not confident in doing not spherical (e.g. anamorphic) lenses :s

Hi to all! My friend Juan from France sent me Moller 63/2x, so I decided to remake it as rework other bulky ana projector lenses. First impressions - can work with that lens. Overall weigh of lenses without body around 700 gr. Little lighter than 35 NAP 2-4 / 2-2 (800 gr), and much lighter than 35NAP 2-3m (1 kg). First examples:
In future I'll add examples to the extent possible.

Thanks for the advice anamorphic doctor ! As the coating was already 75% gone, I had to remove it anyway. I'll try to find a company in france who can re-do the coating, very good idea

Hi, Justin! If you remove coating, contrast falls (your sample compare confirms this) and light streaks not blue as usual, but white. You can find the optical plant that causes coating on optics, and if they do that in your case, also try to clear the full coating and give them for work. I have not yet done, but try as an option.

    Thanks @PepperJay!
@Dr. Verbel', like I mentioned in my post, it was shot with a spherical lens. To be more precise: GH4 + Lens Turbo + Tokina 11-16 set to f2.8 (x0,72 = f2.0 &), shot in 4K (so 11mm x 2.2 crop x 0.72 lens turbo = 17mm FOV). I did not bother to add anamorphic lens flare to it in the post. Everybody can feel the difference between the shots so why fake it?
The camera was mounted to a glidecam, the operator was sitting in a trolley, therefore we eliminated the Y axis  but it was still a bit shaky, so I stabilised it in premiere, you can see some artifacts, but hey, like we care :D

Dr. Verbel' reacted to funkyou86 in Building an LED panel, please advise!
So, I have finished the building of my two LED panels. And they work pretty good! I have used 6000K leds, and each got a luminance of 4000 lumen. Here are some screengrabs from the music video I shot few weeks ago (not graded, only the scr1.jpg).
All shots by GH4, the first one with tokina 11-16, the rest with Pentax 50mm SMC + Sankor Cinemascope Anamorphic, ISO around 400.

So, we had a quick shoot, here's the result:
Setup: GH4 4:3 anamorphic mode, pentax 50mm smc f1.7, Sankor Compact 2x Single focus anamorphot which is still for SALE, DIY LED panels, homemade dolly with a fluid head and a regular tripod work. You might notice that the opening shot is with a spherical lens, well that's because of the glidecam. Edited & graded in premiere with some luts.
    Cheers!

When I looked into making a slave motor drive to sync taking and scope lens - it quickly became clear that to do properly would incur about the cost of buying an iscorama or cine anamorphic. You really need a stepper motor solution, ideally with zero backlash (to avoid mechanical drift in movement) - also a flexible interface to accommodate the offset for different taking lenses with varying focus rotation throw. In a nutshell, a vari-diopter or DIY front element mod solution is the cost effective way to convert most lenses to single focus IMO.

You can make your own single focus for nap2-3m, but big good lenses for single expensive

I know, that's why I wrote "or other optics", 3 other companies are pushing their optics on the market, we have a selection now. But you can't have everything in one focusing solution (sharp glass/no lens breathing/no aspect ratio change/lightness) and get if for cheap.

Disadvantage of this method - change ana ratio, when focusing. in infinity, for example, 2x, near focus less than 2x.

Great invention but I don't see the reason of using this heavy, bulky (double)focusing mechanism over a rangefinder or other optics.
