    Cool.
Pretty sure that the Berkey motor is 12v 1amp...but I'm running it at 6v I think with no torque issues. I've contacted Brian Berkey to get a proper spec sheet. Through luck I wired a custom cable to integrate it to my Dynamic Perception NMX controller and it works perfectly.
I cant really see if the Berkey motor is massively better than your solution, but I know that a lot of people in the motion control world use them because they are compact and can be configured in many ways... I can get the gear within 1mm of the camera body when using pancake lenses or (as seen in following pictures) when I remount lenses that have a focus gear very close to the lens mount.
Also if it can be an option to integrate into your controller and encoder, there are a few owners out there with Berkey motors on custom live action/ animation motion control rigs that would also appriciate encoder driven control that can act as a slave to rotational input.

So here's a short video of some shots I put together from the first time I've brought this kit outside -

    Password - eoshd
Shot on Samsung NX1, gamma DR, sharpness -10, UHD 25fps. Canon FD 50 f1.4 @ f2. Cropped sides and most shots stabilized, also added a bit of contrast with curves.
Probably didn't have a perfect alignment of the lenses, but I think it was close. Now need to make a better mounting. Will post some pics of the setup too.

Hello @ReinisK and welcome to the anamorphic club !
First of all : WE WANT PICS ! I'd like to see your setup and images it produces. Very curious ! :D
@Dr. Verbel' already has worked (with great success) on adapting these NAP2 lenses. I still have to do the conversion on mine though (Just 6 months late ... usual stuff)
As for the squeeze ration changing, it is quite normal with projection lenses. (Varies between 2.0X (at infinity) and 1.8X (at 1.5m) on my Isco ultrastar).
I just stick with 2.0X in post and usually you don't notice it unless you rack focus. A single focus solution would get rid of that.
If the ratio seems just off you can just change it in post

For anyone interested, you can download the LUT, which is suitable for the BMPCC, BMCC, BMMCC and Blackmagic Ursa (with minor adjustments) cameras recording in Film LOG & RAW for a small donation.

Early test single focus for 35NAP family. (35NAP 2-2 | Helios 44-2 F:2 | Sony A6300) At the moment, there was a test of possibility of a single focus on these large lenses. The test is done on small lenses, large diameter lenses will be manufactured. Sorry for jitter, pic of DIY body for single below  And question, my friends -  how do you think, you need a single focus for 35NAP family, these large lenses?

This video blows away anything posted yet for Aivascope. This is with his new variable diopter attached. I did not want to shoot anything else till I had one on as well.

2M - this is not in real life. 35NAP family - 2-2, 2-3, 2-4, 2-3M. 2-3, 2-3M bigger and heavier than 2-2, 2-4. Optic scheme the same, image look similar. 2-2, 2-4 looks a little sharper, but if good aligned lenses, all will be good. minimum focus distance, if not modded - 8-10 m. If modded, starts from 35-40 cm, but I recommend to shoot from 1m. to close focus - little squeeze. Also present 35NAP 1-1, but I didn't come across.

Thanks! Yet double focus, now I waiting for big focusing lenses. Focusing method of current setup

With some skills time to capture focus in my case around 10 sec max. Minimum config now is two lenses in 3D-printed frames. Bellows can be added also.
You can make for yourself, buy this cheap lens on ebay (look for good condition), info of rehousing and drawings for 35NAP 2-3M here https://www.facebook.com/groups/verbascope/ If some additional questions, please welcome to PM.

Looks nice, but too bulky and complicated, man. Too many unnecessary details that make their error in the final result. Focusing attachments like Rectilux give more convenience, it is a pity that while there are no such large to fit with that huge ana. Cons - changing squeeze factor, when focusing, too slow focus from one object to other. Some good footage from wide open aperture, for example, F:2 or wider? I shooted earlier short test. Do you shoot like this from your construction?

Looks nice, I agree. But how good in practice, don't sure. Yes, I speak Russian
Test from other man with similar method on F:1.4. Quick focus from one object to other. Maded for one taking lens, but more elegant scheme for my opinion.

Such a bulky system with those large NAP glasses in terms of IQ have a point only for using wide open apertures on fast 80+ mm (when front element of taking lens is bigger than regular rear anamorphic attachment entrance). For fast 50-75mm primes there is a great option like Rectilux and for shooting at F4 (as in attached video) there is Rangefinder or FM. Which all can be used without those additional drives and batteries.

Here is my first test with my run and gun anamorphic set up.
Shot on a GH4 in 4k with natural profile.
Lens used were Baby Hypergonar anamorphic + LINOS MeVis-C 35mm F1.6 Most of it shot at f1.6 or f2.8
Rectilux Core DNA with +0.6 diopter on close ups.
No sharping or noise reduction.. I hope you like. The images at the end I really love. The Rectilux is a dream but you diopters to get sharp below 2 feet.
