Let's look at the previous track record....

    Canon 1DX comes out.

Then a few months later the 1DC comes out.

    Fast forward to now.

    1DX mkII comes out.

A few months later.... 1DC mkII comes out?

That's my educated guess. We'll see.

    Hopefully not using motion JPEGs!

I own one still, used to have three.

here's some things I shot on it:

It's a really great camera, has built in XLRs, I really like slog1 and sgamut - and man for the price, it's a great deal.

Is it better than the canon 1dx which is probably now cheaper at the same price?

Or the blackmagic MCC or pocket?

From what you posted I prefer it to what I've seen from the 1dx/1dc and bmpcc/bmmcc, but hard to know how muchof that is just your mad skillz. :)

The reply in this Facebook chat seems to be from someone who knows about Gh4 and its cinematics limits (before the anamorphic mode and Vlog) vs the great of ML raw of the 550D.

Dunno, GH4 isn't as bad as he's suggesting there. (interlaced video look?...)

Your GH4 is not faulty. I'm having the same issue with mine. Just shot a video at night, and it's full of noise, I was shooting with ISO 400. IMO it's the downside of the MFT sensor, but I noticed that grading helps to smooth this noise out.

Here are some snapshots from my footages (straight from the camera).  The second one was shot in 4K, the first and last one in 1080p 200mBit/s

Sorry to be off topic. Just curious why you shot the first/last in HD instead of 4K? Is it becaue 4K can be unflattering (esp to females) so close?
