On all non theatrical release I have been on it was all about Alexa's. They will just upscale it. Do you think netflix will refuse a very good story with good actors etc because it was shot in 2.8 k and now every camera shoots in 4k. 12k is another ball mark, even 8k is a waste, because as I said before, bigger the screen, the further people will watch it, unless they want to watch a film like watching a tennis match.
 

so the target is also wrong, medium/big companies have the money to rent an Alexa, why they will pick up this new boy in town?, and the rest, SOLO shooters, we have many other best options out there, a waste of time, except for fan boys and STOCK FOOTAGE SHOOTERS!!!

for stock I agree, is a great camera, who else need it?, for interviews I will choose a C200 or C300 every day of the week, I have DPAF, I do it SOLO, if the guy is moving a lot, don't care, I still get nice footage.

I read you comment and most probably you are right, but RED's cameras have an incredible codec that use so less physical space that is hard to believe anyone will migrate from RED to Blackmagic, also soon we will have the new 6K RED, with autofocus, in a small package, and for less money, I think Blackmagic will not be able to catch that market.

I think the masterminds/fan boys of Blackmagic already give us the answer for this excellent question, STOCK FOOTAGE!!!

Seriously, it seems clear you have zero interest in the Rx series.. yet you keep talking up the P6K. An S35 cam with no AF, no IBIS, no stills functionality, poor battery life etc. I'm not shitting on the P6K but it is just not in the same category as the Canon R5 hybrid. No camera is really at the moment (although that may change come July 28th).

if you are in this forum most probably you are part of the 99.9% of the people who doesn't need this camera, because of, there are better solutions out there, you do realize that don't you?.
