  1. Hello, I am selling an Isco Ultrastar.
Body has scratches, optics are perfect, no fungus, scratches or anything else.
I used it 2 times on a gimbal, that´s where all the rig stuff comes from- lens collar and adapters for the diopter and taking lens (it´s all diy, i am giving it away with the lens).

    300 Euros, via Paypal.

. I will assume that if my TV was set to PAL and the frame rate was 25FPS it would look the same to my eyes as my TV set to NTSC and the frame rate set to 30FPS.

Let me interrupt you here, sir. No. No, no. ;)
If you ever have the chance to watch PAL TV, do it. It will  have the same effect as switching from sd to hd ;)
I am wondering if the Americans also are used to the Never The Same Color phrase.

  3. @kye that s my actual problem, since i want it to be rectilinear but also wide :)
i used a Tokina 11-16 wide angle which was pretty cool, but it was version 1 which did not work well with the booster.

@tweak thanks, so 8mm would be fine i think. I also thought about the Peleng since i know it well from the skateboarding days.

Looks like this lens was modified somewhere.   There are some little screws which can disassemble all parts.   I also mods it as no lock(re-drilled holes to make it) .   The rear big ring is not necessary.  It was for adapting to around 71mm(70.65?) projector lens.

Dude, does the 62mm step up fit on the Isco´s threads??

This is not true, and it would be easy to find samples that disprove what you're saying. There is no such thing as the "FF look".

    Chris

Absolutely not true, sorry. Maybe go to film school or somewhere where they can explain this to you.

  6. Rent one and check for yourself.

A shoulder rig isn't just  about holding your camera..

You have 4 points where your body is connected to the camera, 2 hands, shoulder and your eye. This allows movement and a look you don't get with anything else.

You can attach a follow focus and pull focus without shaking.

You won't use it all the time- it's a tool for special scenes like a Steadicam or Dolly, you only use it when needed. (Or if you do like an event all day long)

If you like the feeling of your rented rig, don't buy a compromise- no gorilla pod and no rig with one handle or anything that costs less than 200 $ (new), you will get pissed of because of screws getting loose and things like that.

You always can atttach weight to a rig, but i recommend doing this after all is set up and you can balance it right.
