But is there an accessory that gives the GH5 manual controls, a proper tilt screen, bigger sensor and X-Trans...
If power consumption is important then this might not be the camera for you. For me its somewhere in the bottom of a long list of things I look for in a camera.

Higher bitrate, Flog internal, DCI, 120fps, better controls, bigger grip, touchscreen, high spec EVF - they're making great strides considering its only been a little more than a year and a half since 4k first appeared in a Fuji body.
And they're finally releasing the MK Cine lenses in X-mount.

Loads of people use SLOG on 8bit codecs... even the Canon C200 is 8bit only with CLOG.
Its not one battery per 20 mins. Its just a record time limit for each continuous recording

Kind of a straw man argument, don't you think? You have to pay for Vlog, which brings the GH5 to about the same price as the XH1 with the grip - at least in the US. And unless you only shoot with a single battery for the GH5 for all of eternity - which seems unlikely - you're still spending roughly the same amount of cash once you add Panasonic batteries to the mix. So do you want 10-bit and 60p with the GH5, or a larger sensor, much better hybrid AF, cleaner files at higher ISO's, much better stills, better color profiles and more DR from Fuji? If you shoot stills and video, the Fuji is a much better choice IMO. YMMV.
    Its good to have options.

Fuji's OIS is on par with the IBIS in the A7rII. I have the 50-140, 18-55, 55-200 and 10-24, stabilization is really good on all of them. The primes and the stellar 16-55 are of course not stabilized.
I shot for years with the 5d2/3, the 24-70 and a bunch of unstabilized primes, personally its not a big deal. As always YMMV.

The MTFs (http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital_cameras/x/fujinon_lens_xf56mmf12_r/specifications/) show that it's a very good lens already wide open. The optical design is interesting too.
I would say that most Fuji lenses are very good wide open and get incredibly sharp stopped down.
For me personally Fuji lenses have reached the point, where I don't use the aperture for sharpness control but only for depth of field. There is always enough sharpness.

If you skip to 10:50 for the sample footage, you can see some really amazing images coming out of this camera. Dare I say it almost looks Alexa-like in its color rendition and has a certain "filmic quality" to it. Unfortunately this does not extend to the dynamic range... although I bet F-Log would help substantially.

Same same imo. It could even be the difference in angle and they are actually identical.
But, if we say the V is better and this image is correct. Both are still bad enough for me to answer "yes" if someone asks "Does it have terrible RS that I need to take into consideration when using it handheld?".
So the best case scenario is that one has bad rolling shutter and the other has a tad worse. Its like having two boxes of milk, one is a week old and the other eight days.

    But both are still usable.
I have had the Samsung NX1 and own a RX100iv which both have terrible RS, still very usable cameras imo. I would even go as far as saying the a6300 which have the worst RS I've ever seen in my life is workable.
But in no way does the rx100v compare to a global shutter. A BMPCC which walks all over that rx100v footage in terms of RS still feels like a jello bonanza compared to a GS.
    PS.
History of the forum dictates that I better point out that I'm not ripping on the camera nor of the children to those who are considering a purchase. All I'm saying is that imo they haven't reduced the RS enough for me to give it any extra attention. Maybe someone can show a test that shows some real difference because the one above was not very convincing.
    It is ok to disagree.

Hehe, owners of a6300 will be happy for this, especially if no fw update gets released for their camera to match the 6500.

"In an interesting update, there's a new menu option which changes when the over-heating warning icon appears: there's Standard or High options, the latter simply allowing the camera to keep operating even when it's getting hot, although protection will still kick-in to prevent any damage. When shooting with the earlier A6300, I found the body could get quite hot to touch, and revealingly Sony's engineers recommended using the A6500 on a tripod when the temperature warning had been adjusted - not to do with stabilisation, but because the body may become uncomfortably hot."

the camera offers about 16 minutes of continuous shooting time and, as a new feature for this model, also includes a special power mode designed for tripod recording. As explained by the Sony rep, this mode allows the camera temp to get a little hotter, offering around 29 minutes of uninterrupted recording time.

Ok I loved the NX1 when I had it, but stop blowing smoke up it's ass. You could say the same thing for every single Nikon and Canon camera (and Canon's have RAW hacks)

RS is on of the most defining differences between high end cameras and consumer ones. If I cannot use pans in a shot that takes away a storytelling tool. And the A6300 isn't simply bad, it's horrendous, it's easily the worst performing RS of any consumer camera. It makes it unusable in any professional filmmaking setting, relocating it to use in interviews and event work.

I wonder, is AF really a high prioritized feature as he stated in the video? I know, you could use it for gimbal work, but other than that, I thought it's more a feature for soccer moms. I think even with DP-AF it's not always focusing in the speed you want and it still can't read your mind. The longer the take, the higher the probability, that AF will ruin it. Isn't stopping down the lens still the preferred way to capture moving objects? Because I am still skeptical regarding AF for video it wasn't a feature I was looking at, in the first place. That said, for stills it was an important feature and I am completely satisfied with its performance.

Ok, I admit, you can't get IBIS via firmware upgrade. But if I had bought a Sony A6300 I would be pretty upset now. Regarding the schedule of the product announcements of A6300 and A6500 I would feel ripped off.
But thinking about possibilities for a firmware update for the X-T2, I could imagine the following
internal F-Log histogram and or zebra in video mode Kodak 5219 film simulation (ok, maybe a Fujifilm motion picture film sim) continuous video AF improvements etc. (I am pretty sure, I forgot some other things which can be fixed through firmware evolution) If I think about the improvements I got for my X-E2, a lot of things are possible.
