    It's been
Yes, It's been posted...  I believe Gerald Undone confirmed there was no quality change when shooting in HQ modes through the Ninja, and mentioned a drop in sharpness with the normal 4K modes.

The way I see it, this forum has played a major role in how huge hybrid cameras have become for actual filmmaking. That happened because Andrew and others were finding workarounds and solutions to these small cameras most Pros would never use on paid productions. Yeah theres always gonna be opposing views, and brand favorites but it's easy to recognize a hater.
That Nezza is talking more about "Canboys" than the R5 itself... LOL

Not irony. We can always tend to be biased on our own viewpoints. So, we should try to practice self-criticism as much as we can : ) BTW, are you Italian or from Italian ancestry?
I ask you because I try to understand you. Without mention as a disclaimer footnote, I love Italy, Italians and "our" culture. I am Portuguese but one of them by adoption for decades today.

Yeah, I follow the point, this can serve the topic. But, to call any different scope outside of his playground of Canboys, oh well, that's a way to underestimate everything you've just said. Andrew's legacy included.
Without mention to bash someone's else standpoint instead. Not fair. Pure bias.

No im not, but whats the point of 39 pages of "this is unacceptable, canon cripple hammer hits again, only canon fanboys will buy this camera, wow look that guy uses a r5 on a wedding what an amateur,  no pro would do that....." over and over again what is this? Middleschool?

You and everyone else interested in buying new cameras has the right to choose whether to buy or not... Tech discussions are cool, but the whining, and negativity is played out. The hottest topic on this board is the R5 and its funny that some are here whining daily, repeating the same reasons to avoid buying the camera over and over again like most don't already know about the issues, and a few others are open to workarounds and getting called canboys just for looking for solutions to the issues. Super silly, and shouldn't be that serious. Buy it or don't buy it! I'm not into the "lets get together and hold Canon accountable for not giving us that last 10% they have been holding out on us" Why? because we don't have to buy it... and I'm certainly not mad at those who want to love it... Much more important things to get worked up for in the world today than 4K HQ and 4K 120 continuous recording.

No, it is still MIA with the fP update.
They had some issues with the S1H originally so I'm guessing that put the whole queue back but now that is out there might be some movement.

Agreed : ) My hope is they upgrade their firmware uplifting their recording limits and Tilta may prove to be able to diminish the heat in a way the user can extend the usage for 8K & 4K 120fps not for continuous recording, obviously, but definitely not for the brick all this hassle meant to be.

You do not have to run a dummy battery. The workaround seems to be not having a card in camera, while you can still use the LP-E6NH batteries in cam.
The 'Enginnerring Filmaker' guy seems to be determined to find out...  I guess we'll see.

I get the backlash for the R5 and R6 overheating, but we all know what it is at this point until Canon changes things. To have the proud polar opposites of "fanboys" and so-called "canboys" posting around the clock about the "Fanboys" and so-called "canboys" seems like some hater shit. It is corny asf really.  Nobody has to buy the R5, and if you didn't pre-order it you don't have to worry about the shortcomings of the camera.  Mad about someones willingness to use a camera they paid for with their own money. LOL

Heres another guy claiming he ran externally (Blackmagic Video Assist) without card in camera until batteries died @ 2 hours.
So this seems to be related to having the card in camera.

I am still hoping they will release some firmware update to help to extend the recover period, hence that's crucial for a lot of further buyers purchase, myself included. Without it, I am out : )
    Here's a real user's test:

Nonsense... you don't even read my posts or you wouldn't put me in the same line of any fanboys to praise whatever brand you dislike. How can you comment them then, humm?? : D I am a regular poster on EOSHD since the early beginning, for almost a decade now. What about you? Since last month of July...??
    :- D
It's absolutely laughable you infer I am here ignoring this issue or praising them when their commitment clearly doesn't match mine! WOW
It's not difficult to follow the position or experience of someone but for that, you need to read them first.
    ; )
Last but not least, how old are you? Or you'll omit my question as much as when you mentioned engineer skills as the quality to be entitled to trust Tilta products and I asked about yours? No pun intended.
And you're still lacking any answer to add up there... ; ))
Nonetheless, maybe you know more on basic laws of thermal dynamics than them from Tilta? ;- ]

Something completely disgusting is trading places to distort the facts or take the world B&W, bashing people or brands at the distance of a keyboard hidden behind a mouse and an anonymous alias and yet, pretending to believe only one side can offer criticism when it is much easier to see it from eventual adopters/buyers rather than naysayers.
Not you, for sure. But it was not me either to call for credentials or bringing academic degrees to the equation.
Even before they had released it?!
What the hell a solid accessories supplier such as Tilta would think about all that?
Or their customers? Or do I risk to be insulted and the usual mantra to call me their fanboy? LOL
The same follows for the Canon patent. Welcome that tip on the HEPA filter. That's an example of constructive criticism. Let's not confound the fair criticism all of us are entitled to (especially Canon customers, oh yes) with haters.
We are what we do, words mean too little. This applies to everyone, not this or that user per se.

Filmmakers are used to positively search for solutions, not problems. That's also what basically tells about their experience in less or greater degree.
