Well, even I as somewhat as Olympus Diehard user, is very very positively surprised by the OM1. The amount of refinements OMDS has pulled off is close to awesome. They fixed a lot of old quirky drawbacks a Oly had and now finally delivered on the CAF and Tracking Front.
Setting sensor size and the “20MP” aside, the feature list is long…
    BSI Stacked Sensor
    8ms Rolling Shutter
    1053 Cross Phase AF Points
    AI Tracking
    Starry AF
    50 FPS CAF
    120 FPS SAF
    ProCapture
Freece and Weather Proof IP53 certificated body
    SSWF
    LiveND (64)
    Live Composite / Live Bulb
    (Hand-held) HighResShot
    Focusstacking / Bracketing / HDR / etc.
    C4K 60 10 Bit 4.2.2 intern
    C4K 60 RAW 12 Bit 4.4.4 Extern
    5,76m 120 FPS EVF at 0,82 Size
    1,6m dot 3" Display
WLAN Control and New OI Share
    USB-C PD
Completly revamped Software /Menu and even a dedicated Movie Super Control Panel when you are in movie mode.
    OM Workspace 2.0 on top….

I order mine when it was available for order and cannot wait for the 07.03. delivery. There are reports that the first delivery is sold out or close to be sold out for DACH and UK.

So, i think  this OM-1 can pull something off. Interesting OMDS Stream tonight on Wildlife and OM1 (German Only):

Communism isn’t an utopia for a better humanity as it ignores the humanity respectively the human nature completely. It would only work where humans can be programmed in 0 and 1 , otherwise you have to control your population which will always end in a disaster and death.
Communism is great for brain storming and philosophy but nothing for reality.
That doesn’t mean capitalism is great. It has horrible flaws but it’s the only system humanity created where you are allowed to die as a free men.
    That’s enough off topic....

These things can both be true:
Wonder Woman 1984 was blockbuster garbage. A man crying sexism because one shitty blockbuster (out of how many hundreds?) dares to portray men in an unflattering light is whiney, entitled, pathetic, microphallytic nonsense Do you write internet diatribes every time you see a movie that shows woman as oversexualized? As objects of ownership? As conniving bitches? As ditzy morons? You don’t, because if you did your wrists would break because there are so many of them.
Look around you, the world is full of awful men doing nightmarish things. Why shouldn’t a clumsy blockbuster get to play with that trope as much as all the tropes about women? The film is absolutely terrible, but loads of terrible films are made by men all year round, filled with cliches and destructive stereotypes. It’s not other people making this an issue about sexism-it’s you. You have drawn a line that says stories by and about women can’t employ the same lazy filmmaking that is rife in Hollywood blockbusters. How is that not the definition of sexism?

Also: I’ve seen literally zero hesitance in the media to call this movie lousy. Not sure what you’re reacting to, but nobody I’ve read is hailing this film as a milestone of feminism. Or even trying to defend its sheer awfulness from a filmmaking perspective.
Like many small men, you’ve made a little internet fiefdom for yourself by spewing anger on a blog. Yawn. Perhaps turning that angry, critical eye on your own perception of women would prove instructive. Grow up, little piggy.

I think they definitely need to show E-M1X early adopters some love, seen as though they just gave away all our fancy features for free to E-M1 II users.

I slightly disagree. They designed the EM1X with the fastest 120 FPS EVF. And until about 3mth there was no alternative. So Olympus got caught on the wrong foot here.
Image Quality, I think is very good. Maybe they could have gone with 24MP... but the key is not the sensor but processing power.
AF is also very and there are now really really good BIF examples available that where not possible beforehand. Yes, it could always be better. But I would be satisfied now
My personal guess in about October we will get the 2.0 Firmware with the release date for 150-400 F4.5.....

Well, the thing everyone needs to consider now is what is actually possible. The Firmware 3.0 is working flawlessly on basically three year old E1MKII.
Now the E1Mx has twice the power, better cooling. Just imagine what a 2.0 firmware could do!
For me the EM1x only has two real downsides: no top status display which is a requirement for such a body and the 120 FPS EVF is now already superseded. And it’s priced in with an 500,- Euro discount ( 300,- cash back now). I’ll bet in 3-4 month you can get one for 2400,-.
Anyway,  I will exchange my GH5 for one by the end of this year.

Well, the E1 is the best DSLR body ever designed. Still have mine. The one next is the SL and very shortly thereafter the EM1X.
live ND is great but only makes sense at the highest setting.
the handheld high resolution is great, scenery permitting. Definitely a great bonus, especially considering the improvement in ISO performance. You wouldn’t believe that’s from m4/3.
video wise I like what I’ve seen. The 60fps is a bummer because for wildlife that would habe been great, e.g. slow down a starting eagle.
As I wrote I will get one... only depends on what’s on the upcoming lens roadmap. 12-100 is awesome but F4... 12-40 is great but no is and I had one before I went Gh5 + 12-60 ... so I’m still looking. The long stuff is easy as I have the 300mm

The best optical  standard zoom I've used so far is the Olympus Zuiko Top Pro 4/3 14-35mm F2.0
Second would be the 24-90 F2.8-4.0 Leica Vario for the SL.

I hav but only for stills ( not much time for videos lately). It's a great lens. About the same as the 42.5. Size and weight a perfect match for the GH5. I really love the Aperture ring. The price is okish, like the 42.5 still on the high side.

One of my m4/3 recommended lenses.

The EM1 MKII is better for sure, but the GH5 narrowed that gap by a large chunk so that from an overall perspective you're better off with the GH5. And I've been a longtime Olympus user ( since the E1)

I've watched hundreds of YouTube videos but most of them aren't good apart from the likes of Neumannfilms or setup videos.
I have the GH5 and I think it's the best m4/3 and one of the best hybrids. Is it great a blogging? Probably not as AF is the most important part ( and not IQ). But if you like more the documentary style it's amazing. Versatile, small, lots of functions and feature, great IQ and excellent handling.
Also in stills it's a great camera. I used the GH4 before and it sucked in stills due to the horrible AF. Now the GH5 is a relief, nearly as good as the EM1 MKII and with the 300mm F4 you're now able to successful catch birds in flight. Also the 6k Photo mode is very useful.
And one of the most underrated points of the GH5 is the heavily improved image quality and colors.
So, I really like the GH5 - it's a massive improvement from the GH4 in stills and movie.
