Well the thread was originally meant to be a simple post that a new firmware was out and hopefully for people to discuss how good or flawed it is. But Kisaha just has to take any opportunity to gloat about his beloved camera. I see it in so many threads and its just getting annoying.

Your post is is condescending. Nothing more. It's not a comparison of anything constructive. "Have Fun!" being the tell tale phrase...
My comment was a ridiculous throw away line to try to demonstrate how silly your comment was. Yes, I know full well that you can't compare an Alexa with a phone camera. It was a silly comment aimed at the same level of your two comments boasting that you had been doting 240p for four years..... So what? A camera is more than one feature
I don't have a problem with Samsung's colour science but do prefer Fuji's by a long shot.

Good grief, your attitude is pathetic.
I've changed camera systems once since 2014 but then I don't use these cameras for work. The Fuji is my personal camera that I use for taking photos of the kids, travel etc. The video function is secondary.
For work, we use Arri, Red, BM Ursa Mini Pro, F55 etc. And that's the thing, professionals and filmakers don't get all hung up on one system. Can you categorically say that you have produced better images than anyone using an XT2 because you had 240fps four years ago?
It doesn't really matter which camera had 120fps first or that you might  have one that does 240fps. To XT-2 owners this is a great, free upgrade. All cameras are different. Does your 240fps camera have Fujifilm colour science? I'll take Fuji colour science and 120fps over something like Sonys or even Samsung's colour science and 240fps. I'll also take Fuji lenses over ANY Sony or Samsung lenses..... Either way though, who cares who did what first. Choose the tool that you like using. Why should anyone care that you had a camera that did 240fps last year if that's not a feature I'm interested or have the need in using.
The sum of a camera is all if it's parts, not just one spec.
I bet you can't wait for the NX2 so you can brag to us all how far ahead of its time it is.....tell me, when are Samsung releasing the NX2 ?
Finally, if Sumsung land is so fantastic what are you doing in the Fuji Land thread anyway. You obviosly have nothing constructive to add. Did you really just come here to gloat?

Yeah, the one they've missed the trick with is recording 4K F-Log internal whilst outputting an HD version of it over HDMI.
Ditto having no HDMI when you're recording HD F-Log either.
Not being able to get a monitor feed when its own monitoring is bit limited  (no zebras are even more of an omission now with internal LOG as, arguably, is the monitoring LUT) is a letdown.
I found stepping through the recording options is a bit painful as its doing one of its fast reboots between each step to switch the displays on and off so it takes a while to get from HD to 4K. It would be good if they could at least let you save your formats in the C slots.
    Oh well, I'm nitpicking now

If your camera works for you, fine. But the endless thread trolling by NX1 owners in every single camera thread is so played and adds nothing to the discussion.
So far I'm pretty happy with the update. Looking forward to tinkering with the focus bracketing since I don't own a macro lens - GFX users are doing stacks of 100-200 shots and the results are pretty awesome. Flog is nice, but I would like to see Eterna added at some point too - shooting at lower ISO's with DR400 internal speeds up my workflow. I get its too soon after the XH1's release to add it, down the line...

I am glad to know you consider yourself a... full.. grown up???
So you consider hundreds of tweaks and LUTS the same as Fuji OOC colors?
But Seriously, I don't know why you go to all ends defending the NX1? It's as if I cursed your family name because I prefer Fuji colors to Samsung colors... I would think most people would.
Honestly, Samsung made fine cameras. I enjoyed my time with the NX500. It was a fun camera with great ergonomics.
Do you have a Vimeo or YouTube page? I don't think I've ever seen any of your NX1 work. I would love to see what you're getting out of her.

    @Inazuma
Thank you for your work! Respectable results for the older cameras, keeping good up with the new X-T2...
I love this camera and shot about 25.000 photos with it...But low light and low contrast (tungsten) are simply a desaster - not in stills only...

Ever since I gave up my Nikon D5200 a few years ago for the Panasonic GX7, I've been dearly missing one lens. The 17-50mm f2.8. I tried the 12-35mm f2.8 on the Panasonic but didn't like it. Then the Samsung NX1 came out along with the 16-50mm f2-2.8. At the time, it was way above my budget. So I've since considered other systems such as the Sony but for one reason or another, they didn't fit my needs. But now, over 2 years later, I've finally been able and willing to pick one up. Luckily as well, the camera body is entirely unused. The manufacturer sealing was still in place.
One of the first things I do when I get a new camera is to compare it to my other camera(s) for things like colour, dynamic range and noise. I've made many such tests before but never usually post them. This time I've taken the time to do it properly and edit it together for all to see.
First up is the X-T2 vs NX1 shootout. The main point of this was to see the differences in colour and tonality. See the video description for all the fine details on settings.
And next is this high iso comparison with two other cameras I currently have. Again, you can see the video description for all the setting details.
Some thoughts on the differences between the X-T2 and NX1:
AF-C and focus pulling with AF works much better on the older NX1 than the X-T2; in video anyway.  The 16-50mm f2-2.8 is a ridiculously good lens, image wise. And the focus rings works just like a classic lens. The grip and button layout of the NX1 is far better. I've always felt the retro styling of Fujifilm were a detriment to their functionality. The downside to the NX1 is that it is far inferior to the XT2 in low light. The last shot in the shootout was shot at ISO 800 on the NX1 and 1600 on the XT2, yet the NX1 shows less detail and more muddiness due to the noise reduction.  Also the NX1 is far sharper in 4k and HD but has more aliasing and moiré in the latter.
Anyway, I'd really like to hear your thoughts on the difference between the images I'm yet undecided of which system to keep, even though the NX1 would finally fulfil my want.. or need of a 16-50mm f2.8.

Dave thanks for the info, don't mind these pricks... they know not what they do.
Everything you've mentioned seems very plausible, Canon is known for their tier system. They also believe 4K is not the be all end all for all shooters, so it would make sense that they retire the C100, drop the C100ii price, and bring the C200 in at the original C100ii MSRP.
Thanks again, can't wait for Cinegear.

Fuji is kinda annoying me a lot. It's the camera I want for photography, I love the usability. Actually thanks to their colors, I could also easily live with 8bit (no need to bend the colors if they are that amazing. The GH5 shows that for most people 10bit won't help if you're not really skilled at grading) but with no stabilized primes and the declaration against IBIS, I just don't see them as an upgrade path. I don't want to be always stuck with gimbal & tripod requirements, I want to be able to at least do nice, stabilized static shots.

I personally think FCPX is more advanced and built for the future (compared to PP).
It's rather intuitive, but simplified approach is often mistaken by amazing software development. It's an editor that helps you work faster, better and more fluid. There's more time for creativity, rather than battling error messages and slow responses.
I don't care less what people edit on, however the negativity usually aimed at FCPX is no longer totally justified. It's come on a long, long way and works brilliantly. Early haters should try again.

IMO, that comment is what makes FCPX so damn special, especially if you ever used iMovie HD. To me it seems like they took the best parts of FCP7 and iMovie HD and created this amazing hybrid. It's not for everyone, but I can appreciate it.

@Kisaha you are right! it can't be 4 years... definitely feels like I had it for that long. the AF and the touch screen is amazing on the NX1. and the 16-50S is an outstanding piece of glass that is built like no other. it's a shame that they didn't make an NX2. it would have been something.

Looks like the X-T2 could be the replacement for many NX1 users when then time is right for them to retire their NX1   NX1 users are very loyal and maybe a little fanatical (just a little LOL) so I think they will naturally gravitate to Fuji to find a home instead of Canikon or Sony.
I'm different to most here in that I'm not professional and just do this for fun and 99% handheld video on the streets, but my options are getting less and less with every camera that's released. I simply hate fully articulating screens and it seems every camera that comes out these days has one !! Until I got he G85 I didn't realise how disorientating that screen makes me feel when trying to stealthily film on the street. So unnatural.  The X-T2 doesn't have a FAS thank god so it's at the top of my list at the moment but I haven't made the jump yet. Also looking at getting an ARii again but that's a frustrating camera in other respects (dim screen when filming outdoors, wait for ever for data to write to card, menus all over the place etc etc)
I did go and play with a couple of X-T2s again yesterday, and it does feel like a nice camera but I'm not 100% convinced yet. One thing I couldn't see when in movie mode yesterday when changing settings was an exposure needle on the screen but I'm sure that's a setting somewhere.
In some ways, I should just choose my next camera on stills quality alone because my GX85 is about as perfect as it gets for me for street video
What does surprise me every time I play with the X-T2 is how bloody effective the OIS is in the 18-55 for filming. I felt just as good as Olympus IBIS. Amazingly steady.
I reckon Fuji's next big FW update for the X-T2 will include some goodies for video. I'd love to see F-LOG available internal but who knows.

I think it will have a touch screen for sure. My little Fuji X70 (which can't focus for shit) has one and it works pretty well ... in a limited way.
If they somehow add IBIS to the X-T3 it would be amazing. Could they do this I wonder. Would be such a bonus if they did.

@tokhee it can't be 4 years, but I know what you are talking about. NX1 above 3200 falls apart and I believe it is some stupid threshold on the coded because shooting raw the image is much more capable of coping with extremities. On the other hand, and the 16-50S where I can go to 2f from 16-24mm (24-35equiv) and 2.8f to the rest of the range, I do not need to go above 2000ISO which I am very comfortable using the camera.
I am using NX1 with Ronin all the time, and the AF has never failed me (we do use some lighting for indoor shooting of course).
I see Fuji doing big leaps forward, I can predict that the X-T2 will be surpassed pretty soon by another Fuji camera, sooner than previous generations, the competition is growing bigger and bigger; too bad Samsung isn't around any more to push everything a step forward.
