John Emery got a reaction from JazzBox in LED light advice
    Hi!
For interviews (or photography) I always use diffuse light. So having a spot light is better for 2 reasons: Stronger light output (the light's power is focused), so you can even compete with sun light in some cases. And 2nd, it's easier to control, the W (wide) sends light in all directions. I prefer to have control over it. I use mine with a softbox with a grid:

I would avoid the C (color) versions, because they have half the light output, as someone pointed out above. And the included warm color gels work fine. But it all comes down to your workflow. This review helped me out when I bought mine:

II thought the YN600 didn't have a cast until I got the Aputures. Huge difference!! And worst thing about them... noise, when that fan kicks in, it can ruin a interview.

    Hi barefoot!
If I'm not wrong, the H528's are 88 to 95 CRI, not 95 (they just write 95 in the info). So you could see a color shift. I've got 3 Aputure lights:  HR672S, HR672W and a smaller AL-H198C, and all 3 are 95+. I really like them... nice balanced light, with no tints, they don't overheat and they're completely silent. I also have a Yongnuo YN-600, and it's got a strong magenta tint to it, and it's very noisy. The HR672's comes with 2 NP batteries included (which ain't cheap), and cost around 160 quid. If you are going to bounce or filter your lights, I recommend the HR672S (Spot) model. It's brighter, and easier to control...
Light Storm looks great, but it's still a bit pricey (you can get 3 HR672's for the same money)... But they do look great!
    Hope it helps!

Totally... and it's more than welcome. But i've been around this forum long enough to know how things work here. Some people will always just give you the pat on the back, but I've seen good honest feedback on this forum... and I think that's mainly what I was getting. I think you were honest, and I also think the others were honest. Thanks for your feedback!

    Hi guys!
Big thanks for all the feedback!! Good or bad, I trust you guys a lot!!
I had some major problems on the way... limit was 10 minutes, so I had to cut out at least 3 minutes, so every second counted (that's why the ending is really rushed, and some things don't make sense). I had 48 hours to edit the final cut, and good old murphy's law... my premiere started to play up, so I had to start again at one point, losing around 12 hours on work... long story short, it was crazy, so I focused mainly on the emotional tone of the story, hoping that the viewers could fill in the gaps.
    The gear I used was:
The 2 canon cameras (600d&700d) with cinestyle.
    Sigma 18-35 f1.8, Canon 50mm f1.4 and 85mm f1.8. All used at F1.8.
Shark slider (great slider, worth every penny), with manfrotto 502hd head.
    Small Varavon T1 tilt jib.
40€ fog machine used in the scene at 3:34 and the last scene.
    2 Aputure´s LED HR672W, and 1 H198C (all great little lights).
    Thanks guys!!

John Emery got a reaction from IronFilm in Ursa Mini 4.6k. How we feeling?
So do I. It looks like BM are heading in the right direction. They just need some time to work things out (like RED 10 years ago). If they get that 4.6k sensor right... I think we got a winner!! Every time someone complains too heavily about BM cameras, I think they should just think of that price again. For low budget "cinema"... best bang for buck any day (IMO). Spoilt little buggers!!
