I've never had any problems using the 28-70 on Fotodiox Pro Nik-EF one, which is around 1000grams. But it might not be ideal if you change lenses a lot, as I've read the pin that holds it in place can break during lens transfers (personally never had this issue).

It has a slow write speed, so anything in decent resolutions will never be continuous. It's possible you could do 48fps for a short time until the buffer fills, but I think it will also be squished if it is possible, so you will have to resize in post (like anamorphic lens). Likely as well that the Liveview will not display correctly.

BrorSvensson reacted to Inazuma in Sony A6000 : i miss my Canon 600D....
Quick answer: Yes, only Canon does Canon colours.
If you want colours somewhere as good, whilst keeping somewhere as good AF, then get the Fuji XT20.
One thing to consider is that the a6000 had a firmware update which enabled XAVCS encoding at 50mbps. This mode has less aliasing and moire than the pre-firmware a6000.
Personally when I had the a6300 I loved the colours compared to the Panasonics I was using before (skintones in particular were much better). But then again I've also been known to say the C100 "isnt that good". So what do I know?

if you know the filter diameter you can look up a photo taken straight forward and see how many percent is the element and just do the math yourself

BrorSvensson reacted to Mattias Burling in My thoughts on the Kipon Medium Format "Speedbooster"
Stumbled upon a pair of lenses at a local fleemarket today that will be good for comparing to an 80mm with a x0.7 crop (56mm FF).
My GF wanted to buy a chair and the seller was asking $20 bucks. I said $25 if she threw in the two Helios 44 - 58mm f2 lenses she had. One silver and one black.
Turns out the silver was the 13 bladed version
I will of course compare to modern glass as well using the Nikkor 24-70/2.8 and 70-200/2.8. And the modern Zeiss prime from earlier. But I thought against other vintage options could be interesting as well.

If you can find a secondhand Lumix G7 for cheap, that's probably the way to go. I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest you do not start out using flat profiles, but instead use the Standard photo style with sharpening and noise reduction dialed down. Adjust white balance in camera when shooting, do not rely on AWB. Once you feel confident, then you can begin playing around with flat profiles. BM Resolve is not for the faint-hearted,

BrorSvensson reacted to Cinegain in Lenses
I have dozens of lenses and don't really keep track what's shot with what, don't believe I've used it all that much... it's not the lenses' fault, it's just that I usually prefer to shoot at f/2.8 or faster and when a need for low contrast, there's still the Tiffen Ultra Contrast 3 or Smoque 1. I also just really like primes, because of the size and the optimized quality for the focal length. Also, having a set with same character keeps things matched in a multicam shoot, using two different focal lengths. Although for convenience sake, leaving a zoom on a rig when mounted, the Nikon 28-70mm & 80-200mm f/2.8 D boosted is a combination hard to beat. I do also like the f/2.8-ish Tokina zooms (11-16, 28-70 (2.6-2.8), 50-135), but the low contrast and f/4 is really something that just needs to fit the project, which I guess has yet to happen. Incl. shipping I believe these should turn out around 70-79 EUR. Not much home these days, but I'll see if I can squeeze in taking a couple of samples on friday.

BrorSvensson reacted to Inazuma in 0.64x Leica to APS-C speedbooster
Yeh but a .64x booster would result in a wider view than most ff lenses are designed for. Like eg. A 24mm ff lens on a .71x booster on an apsc would result in a 17mm focal length which is 25.5 when used on the crop body. On a 0.64x youd end up with 23mm

BrorSvensson reacted to Geoff CB in GFILM: An easily graded Flat Profile for Sony Cameras
    GFILM
Made for A7rII, should work on A7s, A7sII, A6300, A6500  EDIT: While it will work on all these cameras, some have been reporting subpar results on the origional a7s due to its slightly different color science. I've only tested myself on the A7r II, results may very slightly on other cameras.
I've been trying to give the A7r II a look similar to "Film" on the blackmagic Ursa Mini 4.6K. The need arose because I am shooting with the two camera side by side and need to edit them together.
Had a couple goals with this:
    - Get away from the "Magenta" look
    - Be able to match with BM "Film" in post
    - A flat profile that doesn't break when grading like S-log sometimes does, is easier to shoot with, and can get a get a great look with a simple color wheel adjustment.
    - Don't clip any color channel
Let me know what you guys think!

    Black Level: 0
    Gamma: S-Log2
    Black Gamma
    - Range: Middle
    - Level: 0
Knee: Manual  (It blows my mind this is left on Auto by default, it controls how the highlights behave)
    - point: 77.5%
    - slope: +3
    Color Mode: Pro
    Saturation: +3
    Color Phase: -4
Color Depth: (Wish they would let this be adjusted for highlights/midtones/blacks independently)
    - R: +5
    - G: +7
    - B: +3
    - C +2
    - M: -2
    - Y: +2
    Detail: -7
    - Mode: Manual
    - V/H Balance: 0
    - B&W Balance: Type5
    - Limit: 3
    - Crispening: 3
    - Hi-Light Detail: 0
Couple notes on shooting with this:
-Always overexpose by at least one stop to get a clean image.
-Set WB manually, do not leave on Auto
-Shoot at the native ISO of your camera

    LUTs:
Correction LUT v4 (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xIXptj40kJ5NGgpl-FXl9smhe9L5htkw)  For viewing on external monitors and to provide a quick correction in post. Keep in mind that this is a correction LUT, and does not replace actual grading, it's just meant to give you a good base. It terms of color it slightly adjusts the green channel and some other minor corrections and brings back contrast to the image.

GFILM_Insta_C (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1mXzjRazavvow0e2trI47TziaWcNz4aea) Instant magic LUT. Used for a immediate striking image in the grade, also used as monitoring LUT while shooting.

    Samples:
