The only thing that this picture "proves" (coupled with your comment) is your bias towards women.
I suggest you take the Gender-Career implicit association test found here: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/

When I started imaging more seriously, I was shooting 95% video/5% stills.  I have now shifted to the opposite, and often when I head out my dedicated camera is incapable of shooting video.  A lot of my casual shooting involves family and the kids, and with video you just end up observing the moments behind a camera worrying about getting the shot rather than whats happening.  I find with stills, I can get the shots I want and still be involved for the majority of the activity.  For me the entire workflow has become key -take some shots-->pop SD card into iPad/iphone adapter-->load into LR mobile-->adjust then and there or later on desktop at home or on phone when have spare moment, very very fast and flexible and has changed the way I work.  I have just got an instax printer, and am enjoying the merging of digital and analog - its been great seeing how both adults and kids react to actually being to hold a photo of themselves rather than just seeing it on a phone screen (for most kids it all they know), and sticking 'real' photos of the kids on the fridge is magic.

Trust me, it's bewildering to many Americans as well. I won't get into political conversations here, so if anyone has a retort you will not get a follow up from me.
But we definitely need a good overall of our public policies in my country. Webrunner's story is not unlike many, many Americans. Statistics show that many Americans are roughly a paycheck away from total poverty and many go bankrupt with medical bills, even with having insurance.
I recently had a talk with my 13-year old son about what to do if some crazed individual comes to his school with a weapon. Not a conversation I ever imaged I'd have to have with my children. It's surreal.

Since when did we start blaming cameras for "over exposure"?

I have no skin in this game, but on the Fuji camera forum I frequent a couple of people who have received their X-H1s are reporting that the AF is noticeably quicker. Obviously that's for stills - and they haven't detailed the lenses used - but I guess we shouldn't dismiss it too early. Those of us who use Fuji cams know that there is a difference similar to that between the weather in England right now and that enjoyed in the Florida Keys in AF performance between lenses.

The most salient point about Ringo (especially in the context of this analogy) is that he was the best drummer FOR The Beatles even if there are some who maintain he wasn't the best drummer IN The Beatles

In my experience, the most significant part of the mojo of most cameras still resides within the circuitry of whoever is operating it.
I've made enough bad images with good cameras to recognise it.
Prefix it with "Then"  and it will be interpreted as such but honestly I'm just not going to engage any more with this.
Its no coincidence that every thread that I open that you are involved in might as well start auto playing the theme tune from Rocky.
English may not be your first language but antagonism might well be.

Definitely a case of crossing that bridge when you come to it with regards to what to use when commissioned for a Netflix Original production.
The only Netflix spec that I have to concern myself with meeting is the £7.99 a month payment

Plenty of people do paid work with 8-bit material. I've shot a number of events and done a few cheap/free broadcast commercials. All were 8-bit, and I go back to the 5d2 in like 2008 or so. All of the spec was either 720/60p or 1080/30p and a minimum bitrate of 50mbps. I've never shot 10-bit or more outside of tinkering with a C300 and a Red a few times. Scratch that -  I had a BMPCC for awhile, so I did shoot some raw/prores. But I never did any paid work with it because the workflow didn't jive with my run-and-gun shooting style.
People keep repeating things like Netflix of BBC standards, which in most cases apply to them - not everyone. I know people that have shot stuff for Discovery, Nat geo and so on with gear below their published standards. If you're doing stuff for broadcast, then it might be an issue, but if you're shooting weddings or TV spots, its not an issue.
I never understand why people criticize specs from their own bubble. If you want a 10-bit camera, this isn't for you. If you want to shoot for 3 straight hours, this isn't the camera for you. Move on. Why keep repeating the same numbnut argument and clogging up this thread?
Back to the XH1- I absolutely love Eterna. 24p looks beautiful. I'm much more excited about this camera than the A7III. It looks like a winner. I'm looking forward to mine arriving soon.

The reason, apart from habit and intransigence, for choosing Arri/Panavision (and to a lesser extent Red/Sony, and recently Panasonic) has always been the issue of reliability and availability. You don't want to stand down a million dollar a day set while you wait for a broken camera to be repaired or replaced and the big boys have that professional level of service down to a tee.
Now I don't personally think that any currently available prosumer camera along the lines of GH5 etc yet has the effortless cinematic qualities of an Alexa, but it's easy to see that it won't be that long before they might. At that point we may reach an interesting tipping point where the whole reliability/repair/spares issue becomes moot as a production can just buy 50 of the things and still be quids in on their camera department costs. Interesting times.

Sure Matthew, if you follow my posting you'll find the same attitude, no worries : ) I mean it seriously. I had added a similar perspective inside some other paragraph meaning but you seemed to have missed it from my earlier post :-)

Indeed (out of likes again... this 10-likes limitation is a bitch but post count is post count :D) aside the fact these cheap devices are not exactly outside because of lack of cinematic properties despite any much more expensive tool must bring some add-on to play with, well said, I invariably much appreciate your insights too :-)
