Not sure about this cameras bashing... any one of the cameras mentioned is good enough to get the job done.  I had the GH5 and sold it... did not like the low ISO performance... ie: i was unwilling to carry a lighting kit. I own the GH5S, and while it's great,  the out of cameras colors are not too my liking so I find more often than not I am shooting VLogL. The auto focus is... well, honestly MIA.. keep in mind I have been spoiled by Canons DPAF. 
What attracted me to the XT3 is the image straight out of camera. Now, you can get technical all you want. But at the end of the day your audience will give not a single fCk. All they will notice is the image... and they will really only notice that in the most extreme cases... and if they do notice it immediately... it means your story is failing. 
Comparing the XT3 to the GH5/s... the image seems more organic. I can't say if one has more or less DR... the GH5S is more than usable. Both are great cameras.
Here is what cliches it for me... the XT3 has a 26MP sensor, serviceable autofocus, and a Super35 sensor. It's fairly compact... even more so than the GH5/S. The baked in colors and film simulations make for less work in post. 
The GH5S is on paper the more robust video camera... but it does so at the expense of being a capable stills camera. If you are looking for a true hybrid I feel the advantage goes to the Fuji. 
This is good news... competition is good.  This means Panasonic will step up their game. Maybe we'll see this "organic sensor" they have been working on for the last several years? Who knows? $h!t's about to get real!

I'll never understand the mentality of this type of poster. If I prefer one great camera over another great camera, then it's happy days... if someone prefers a different camera, it does not detract from my own happiness.

Very nice... we're in a new league now... Look at that handheld setup... amazing. 4K/60p/10bit/4:2:2 with a beautiful monitor and amazing lens for about $6k, half the price of RED's cheapest brain (not comparing the two, but damn the gap is really small now).
For $6K, you really would have a 100% boné fidé cinema setup, including legit cine glass. 

@Jimmy those car shots look unbelievable. This is some of the first consumer 4K that looks organic to me. I cannot believe a lot of those shots were Eterna ungraded. With every passing month, my hybrid choices just keep getting cluttered with more options... definitely a good place to be, though. Man I hope they release an X-H2 soon, because these features even with moderately good IBIS will be unbelievable.

The image that comes out of it is basically the glass, camera and recorder though (Plus lights).... the rest are shooting aids for him and the crew. 
$6k... we're now entering true democratisation. Even lighting and gear for motion (gimbals, dollies, cranes etc) are dirty cheap.

I think he was using a lot more rigging than $6k
But yeah, the image looks great.

Canon must have patent on DPAF for large sensors

Literally nothing else? Dynamic range is better, the XT2 has about 2 extra stops. Highlight rolloff is much better. Skintones are better. It has log. The prime range of glass is second to none for s35.
Look... I am no camera snob, you could 100% shoot a feature on the NX1 as long as you can control the light, the resolution and colour reproduction are really great. It's a great camera, but you also have to be detached enough to be able to accept it's limitations.
I love the XT2, but have zero problem pointing out the fact that it suffers from banding, the 120p is close to unusable, it's AF is far from amazing and the menu system is poor. 

This isn't much effort on my part, but the approach to these shots isn't entirely technical and more of a "paintbrush" sort of thing. Sure, I use exposure guides to refine the lighting but I'm not always sat in front of scopes like some people are. I more or less screw about with light placement, colour contrast, shaping of the light and eyeball 95% of the way through. 
 
I do have some stuff in the early steps - although the target audience is more for branding and marketing teams in our target niche areas. One of the modules is videography with a smartphone, with some stuff on lighting (using Aputure AL-MX's). 
For the general audience - I need a worthwhile reason, the passion and time to do some Youtube stuff. 
We should be really... lighting is make makes a camera shine! I see people complaining on Vimeo that the A7SII is dull and soulless, bjt that's because there's so many "high ISO" videos with no lighting whatsoever.

Yes, did do an RX10II Xmas video. Wasn't a fan of the camera though. Sold it.

If they can do all the tricks the 5Diii does, but with a proper live view mode... I'll be back to Canon for my A cam. 
I'd use the normal mode for most shots, then switch on raw for shots where I need a bit more power in post. Perfect.

The XT2 already surpassed the NX1. 
As with the guy above... i sold my NX1 for an xt2 and never gave it another though.

Those NX1 videos have terrible blown highlights on the faces. This doesn't happen on the XT2... the XT3 should be even better. Even on the XT1, the highlight rolloff is nice.
As much as i loved the NX1, blown highlights and DR in general were a letdown. 
The comparisons just seem really odd.

Would be interested to hear what glass he was using on that trailer... Looks so much better than everything else from the XT3 (the other stuff looks good, but this is next level).
