Why dot you take that hard cash buy some used arri lights, red one mx camera or black magic 4k and start shooting dedicate your self to learn story telling cinematography color. Some of the famous directors like Quentin Tarantino Lana and Andy Wachowski Christopher Nolan Akira Kurosawa and Stanley Kubrick to name few never wen to film school

Film school is for fools. Live and learn how to make films. I didn’t go to film school. I just watched movies in the cinemas. And probably my greater education was actually making films, so that’s all I would ever say: watch movies, get a camera, make a movie. And if you do it enough times, eventually you start learning how films are made.â€

One of the best things that happened to me was that I didn’t go to film school. I used to go down to the USC library and read everything. I’d Xerox stuff. I made my own reference library of doctoral dissertations on optical printing and all that.

You will spent shit load of money to get access to film cameras that you can buy now for 5000k on ebay red one mx body goes for 5 to 8k. I wen to film school they told me i can learn it all in 1 years 11k down the hole took me 5 years to pay that off working as a tradesman  i dont mind my job at all money is really good but if i could do it all over again i would spend my 11k some place else. School those day is only good for me if you want to make like minded friends that why we have forums like this one. I hear those film schools in USA are dam expensive. like 700 dollars for each class you attend a day.

2 C shaped felt lined shims (or split ring) to go round the anamorphic, would be better to clamp the anamorphic and then the screws could screw into them, rather than scratching the gold ana' but it would also benefit from some sort of bayonet to attach the rest to.

I assume this Baby Blue will be less than 500e and cheaper to ship than the other module and fits the Moller which I think will be the anamorphic i'll try for, if I can find one.

Eventually, it has to have fully operational nodes. It may have no more layer comps at some time in the future.

    The question is: When?

Stu Maschwitz asked for working nodes, seven years (!) ago.

The current Adobe help says on flowcharts:

Get this: Adobe calls compositions, footage, blend modes and effects elements. Wow! Yet they deny to connect and modify these elements directly. It's back to the incomprehensible layer scheme with it's dreadful disclosure triangles, invented decades ago. You snooze, you lose.

Yes but how many of those flares are CG, using John Knolls Plugin or other, the one thing you dont see is the heavy tube vignette, I saw a few flares in transformers, but cant be sure they aint CG either, not so easy to add cg to source with flares so they probably shoot it without and add them later. I assume the flares are not the result of the taking lens....

35mm without crop & anamorphic no vignette would be what i'd like to see, day & night, the new test shots should be up soon...

yeah 550d with a Helios would be interesting. without seeing that and some faces how would I know if I wanted one?
If you cant shoot all shots with it ie at least 3 different usable focal lengths, its not like you can quickly get the anamorphic out and use it without the focus group, or maybe you can, but how to marry shots with & without?

A couple of cable ties would do the trick, if you dont like the width of a strap, I lugged my manfrotto twin leg thing & 501 all over Italy, not sure I would do it again though, A clamp & ball head handy for the bag, all the extra gear is a ball ache, but if you need the shots and there's a group(and some wonga) of people, not so bad.

A strap is secondary on a Jib, there's a hole in the bottom for fixing, lol only playing, but I generally wrap the strap round the hand, or in that case attach it to the jib, still usefull unless you dunked the end of the jib. Anyway hopefully you got things sorted, and some cracking footage is on its way(to a paying client) I will keep an eye out for your video posted here.

I was hoping to see a few more tests with the Cinelux before moving on to the Moller, which will also be interesting to see how it fits together with it, and the weight, faster focuses, closer subjects, and some flares:)

I have no idea where my Brain resides, but my heart is in Milan & Iseo.
If I could do it all over again I might have studied design in Milan, but I was on my arse at the time,
and nowdays design & engineering in Milan is probably on it's arse.
I dont have 5 kids, or a mistress, life is passing me bye.
So far a genetic dead end.

I like electronic music, a little Fripp & Sylvian (WAVE Live), chilled stuff, trip hop, etc
Saw Karftwerk in Milan, like to play with synths (Virtual),

I will always want a faster computer, but I'm more than happy with what I have,
but just once it would be nice to have 100k to spend, I think I could do some interesting projects.

Hell 50k would be a good start !

Ok no worries, perhaps they have a linkedIn page coming, which I believe shows a more  professional face(even though I'm not sure its fruitful or productive for me), I know the marketeers say you have to be on facebook, but it all seems a bit of a vacuous fad.
I thought release was any day, so wondered why no answers, no chatter,, and no night stuff with flares yet.
Some threads are far more interesting when they deviate from initial topic. Monday Morning 2nd coffee & a storm in a teacup :)

"JK: Actually, we just didn't implement that functionality, but the DRIMe V and the sensor could do it. When the guys in R&D were working on the Samsung Auto Shot feature, they recorded live 28 megapixel, 240 fps "video" to help with the debugging. We didn't see there being an application for that, at least for very, very few people."

WOW!! 7K AT 240P!!! And they thought no one would like that!!!?? Can we all please send a massive email request to Samsung to unlock even just 4K at 240p!! Or even just 1080p!! This NX1 DrimE V processor and BSI sensor is baaad azzzzz.

You've got this far, what could possibly go wrong, if the Distro company is a known quantity, with some track record then it should be ok, but I have no idea what pitfalls await from the deals these companies make, hopefully they dont follow the same tricks they use to swindle Boy Bands out of  fortunes & tie them into exclusivety. Remember it doesnt have to look or smell like a shark to be a shark :)

Interesting, liked the sound & visuals, although I wasnt scared by the woman :) Nice shot with the moon.
Do not let your film out there without that watermark(but even that can't stop design pirates intent on stealing ideas & reframing them,
pity the decision maker can't be in the room, but understandably they could be far away.
At least one person from the Distribution Company should attend to show support,
and to see it as intended on a big screen, otherwise it could be shown on some laptop.
I'm not sure I would want to send it though, cant you just point them to a private/secure web page,
that only they can see & you can monitor.
Alternatively wrap it into a secure PDF just to make it awkward.

All these new anamorphic options are exciting in theory but where is the exciting footage? I think if this and the other newer options want to really move units they should have a DP do something impressive showing the results they can achieve when used well. The bent jello cam tests aren't enough when asking people to part with $800-4000.

That never seemed to come with the letus or the slr 1.3x and I don't hear much about those since they have been released except FS posts.
