Well, on a 64gb card, Prores HQ gives med 40 min and RAW 3:1 gives me 36 min.
I don't really change shutter speed, I set it for 172 or 180 depending on 24/25 fps. And when i shoot raw i don't really fiddle with that either, gust go between 5400 for daylight and 3200 for artificial light. I bought the video assist because it was real cheap, but i do miss waveform and false color a lot! Buying the Gratical eye soon for that but then there's the battery issue where the setup goes more "traditional handheld" which i prefer anyway.
Are you talking about the shots in the club? I didn't do much, exposed and pointed the camera, you know;)

Last week I was in Berlin at Tom Antos' workshop, we used the Ursa Mini 4K.

Beautiful camera, great images, but I thought it was ready to shoot with, whereas there are a lot of things to rig before shooting.
So I'm more then happy to have the Micro Cinema, that for sure it is not comfortable like a GH4 or a A7s, but at the end it is small enough to work with

I still have to become familiar with its menu and buttons, but I love the images Micro returns.

@John Emery I just spent the morning messing with the files in FCPX/Color Finale and FilmConvert... And the latitude is simply astonishing. I can now see what all the hype is about 10bit color and high DR.
I was planning on keeping my G7 for more run and gun applications, but the IQ with the micro is so next level... I may just sell the G7. And I think once I rig this a little more efficiently, the micro could be a fine run and gun camera, in it's own right.

So, I had my first full day with the micro and... Wow it really is a fun camera. It is a little cumbersome using a small rig and the buttons are hard to push but the image is just amazing. It seems like you can underexpose, overexpose or nail the exposure and you have a lot to work with in post. And the colors... Nice.

Obviously not the most amazing images in the world, but for a first time out with it... I am pleased.

After using 5axis stabilization for a year and a half now, I gotta say I'm somewhat reliant on it. The ability to shoot clean stable shots without a tripod is wonderful. Also, drifting and creating small dolly shots is easy and fun.
I'd love to get a GX7markII, but really need the audio input for a documentary series I'm doing.  (Not enough time in post production to record then sync hours upon hours of outboard broll audio) so I'm sticking with my EM5II for now.
If you don't require that sort of audio, Pany's new cam with 5axis would be my ideal; also, manual lenses with a speedbooster.
Got my hands on the camera yesterday. The stabilizer is on par, if not a touch better, than Oly's

Compacts like that tend to have a lot of compromises that get in the way of effective shooting--no headphone/mic jacks, no nd, no filter threads, lousy battery life, limited zoom, flimsy build, no hotshoe, etc.
The absolute fastest run and gun camera I've worked with is the RX10 (II). Fast aperture, comprehensive zoom range, 3 stop internal nd, filter threads, mic and headphone jacks, excellent stabilization, decent preamps, very sharp 1080p, solid hfr, not bad in low light, weather sealed, evf, articulating screen, and okay battery life. It just gets out of the way and gives you the shot.
The original RX10 can be had basically new for ~$450. If you're okay with the bridge camera form factor instead of a compact, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Since I am a run & gun type of guy I can tell you about my experiences with The LX100, the RX100 IV and the GX80. In my opinion, the whole choice boils down to the following aspects:
    - how important is a zoom for you?
    - how important is size for you?
    - how important is focus pulling / grading for you?
I first started with a GM1 in combination with a fully manual prime. Loved it, but due to GAS i thought i could even ante it up. Then I had a odysee of different cameras: A7s, which I liked for low light and hated for the price and the color (although one can achieve pretty good results out of the box with manual WB and a good profile). Went with an A6000. Liked the Zebras, the punch in zoom (in fact i liked the functionality), didnt like the colors that much. Then I went with the LX100. Perfect compromise for a small package with decent DoF and a good stabilized zoom. Didnt like focus pulling, started to hate fly by wire. However, although I did know better, GAS once again striked back after reading the awesome review of the RX100 IV by Andrew. Bought it, it has amazing features, but the image just dont feel right. In the end, i kept on tweaking and tweaking and did not take the camera for many shots with me because I just was not satisfied. And DoF just sucks. Really, if you want decent DoF control, dont go for it.
After using both the LX100 and the RX100, i kind of went back to the roots. Rebought my Voigtländer - back in prime land. Bought the GX80 and I love it. Awesome stabilisation and the image feels right.
    Long story short:
    RX100 iV if:
you need 120fps you need the smalles package you dont need DoF you dont mind fly by wire you somehow are able to grade Sony cameras LX100 if:
you need a compact package with zoom and stabilisation you somewant need DoF but it is not on your primary list you dont care about shitty focus pulling due to fly by wire GX80 if:
you dont necessary need a compact package with a zoom that has a better f-Stop than a kit lens you like stabilisation you like manual lenses you like easy grading capabilities you like changing lenses in general In general I can sign all the people saying they dont "feel" the Sony image. I tricked myself by telling "i can surely do better". However I dont. In fact I like the Panasonic image.

    Hey!
With compacts such as LX100 it´s tricky with manual focus, since it´s fly by wire. I myself handled the LX100 in a store. From that though limited experience
I must say, I didnt like the fly by wire focus, neither the ergonomy, neither the EVF for videoshooting or updating from my cheap G6.
Jase has quiet some experience shooting with it so maybe he can say more about handling and focussing.
For professional filming with little time I think GH4 is just great. Battery life, large EVF.
Don´t sell it unless GH5 comes up:) Maybe you like the handling and stabilization of the GX80. But still GH4 with Hdmi out, long battery life,
mic input, things the GX80 doesn´t have.
    cheers

I was posting the same "walking video" (clearly not a... music video ) a certain PTA shot for Radiohead, but I saw in this page @kaylee posted it

Why a music video should stick to rules? Come on, it is 2016, we saw some millions playback videos! If someone has a nice idea and can skip the "performance video" I can only say "bravo!"

First af all the images are in the same mood of the song (which I like very much), they go hand in hand with the music.
Then the cinematography serves perfectly this kind of story. Beautiful spontaneous images!

I really love this MUSIC VIDEO (or call it as you prefer, you could call it "geppo", "sarchiapone" or google a name for it, but it remain a great MUSIC VIDEO) and I think Jonatan really made an amazing piece of art!
p.s. @Jonatan: I have more or less the same combo (Micro Cinema, Video Assist and a magic arm), but until now I had not the confidence to shoot with this camera and I'm still shooting with my trusty GH4. Of course I like the Micro's file 1000 times more then the GH4's one, but I still have more confidence with the GH4 (I'm faster on it, when I have to change shutter angle, WB etc...).

Have you some advices to use it "run and gun"? How do you deal with histogram, peaking etc?

And, last question: how did you shot the beautiful night shots? They are really awesome to my eyes!

    Thank you!

@sanveer Here's a link to the one I ordered, I got it from ZenPro: http://www.zenproaudio.com/triton-audio-fethead

It works perfectly with the NTG2, I've also played around with boosting other common mics such as a shure sm57, works great for that too. I went with this one because the other model you mentioned, (FetHead Phantom) is the one that I heard doesn't work right with the NTG2's battery, plus you sacrifice quite a bit of gain. The one I got, which takes phantom power from the recorder to power itself (thus leaving the mic boosted but needing to run off it's own AA for power) gives a clean 27 db boost! The phantom one passes the phantom on through to the mic to power both, but supposedly has problems with the NTG2 and is reduced to an 18db boost instead of 27.

So my recording setup is the NTG-2+FetHead (it's so tiny, just goes right into the back of the mic, only adds an inch or two) but I run it into my Tascam DR-40, on a rode micro boompole with a rode ws-6 windscreen. Admittedly I'm really not much of an audiophile, but for me it sounds great, even indoors. I use it for interviews a lot, just throw the boom on a C-stand above the talent, and it sounds way better than my lavalier setup. Much richer audio. The DR-40 has super handy dual-track recording also, so you can set one a bit higher and one a bit lower and not worry too much if audio happens to peak. It's definitely a 'poor man's setup' but like I said it really satisfies just about all of my audio needs for whatever I'm shooting.

I run an NTG-2 into a Tascam DR-40. When I bought it I was lusting after the NTG-3 but couldn't justify $700 at the time for one as I only infrequently use a shotgun.
As others have said, the NTG-2 doesn't put out the hottest signal, but after some research I bought a FetHead xlr booster thing for it, and now it's awesome! You let the NTG-2 use it's own battery power and the FetHead takes the phantom from the recorder and supercharges the mic with an ultra-clean +20db boost. Basically, I went from having to have the Tascam's gain cranked past 75 to 80 all the time get good sound, now I rarely take it past 20. It's been a real game-changer for me, and really takes care of pretty much all of my audio needs. GAS averted!

In the commercial sense of the term, well no, this video is not a "music video" - something which is made to sell records, concert tickets, merchandise and generally promote the brand of the artist. I assume this video was not made for that function.
For the purpose that it's made though - the filmmaker can call it whatever he wants. A short film, vacation video, visual poetry, video journal, experiment, music video, whatever. Does it really matter? I was more interested in the shots accompanied by the music track. I enjoyed watching both in unison. It's a music video to him whether we like it or not. And he did very well.

Don't waste your time on the Zoom H5 shotgun capsule, it's terrible - I own one. An NTG4+ or NTG3 would be good for outdoor use. I bought the NTG4+ and while it's good enough with my Zoom H6, I wish I would have just gone with the NTG3.

I prefer the Micro, but plenty of others don't. The micro is a little more of the typical digital cinema camera "brain" that requires a rig, a monitor at a minimum. The Pocket is closer to a stripped down point and shoot experience. Both deliver terrific images.

That film is damned talented, a great find, pressing all the right emotional buttons with just images and sound alone, no words, just really nice audio/visual poetry. Loved it.
The Digital Bolex also has one of the most 'emotional' images in the same sense... incredible colour, dynamic range and a sensor size perfectly matched to pre-1980's Super 16mm vintage lenses.
I just wish the D16 cost $999 and was available in great quantity... but that in a way is not the point of it. It is a camera that has a habit of getting into a disproportionately high number of talented hands, which means they're building a really special community around it.
Also, it's one of the few cameras you can shoot jerky handheld footage with and it still looks great, for whatever reason - the CCD and global shutter having a hand in that magic motion candace of course.

There is no one mic which is perfect for everything, you'll often be using a different microphone for indoors vs outdoors.
So don't write off a mic because it is not suitable for outdoors.
There are many different NTG models from Rode, the two most popular ones are the NTG2 and NTG3. The NTG2 is a solid enough cheap entry level mic, I have it myself, but it is not a hot mic at all by any measure as the output is rather on the low side. The NTG3 is a totally different kettle of fish, is more expensive, and is highly regarded and also seen as very good value.

The Micro, unlike the Pocket, will let you record in "BMD Film" while sending the Rec 709 "Video" signal with increased contrast and saturation over HDMI to your monitor of choice. So no, you do not need a monitor with LUT capabilities.
