I think they did 360 and VR cameras first, although they did make the E1 a smaller M4/3 camera before their current E2 range.

Doesn't always look good. I spent £6000 on a 1DX3 remember and got 32ms rolling shutter, worse than the 8 years old 1D C (24ms) in 4K 24p

The low light and DR looks good to me. The last global shutter cinema camera I used was Digital Bolex and BM Production Camera 4K. Both not exactly known for their low light performance past ISO 200
The Komodo and Z-CAM both look like interesting cameras for the price to me. Z-CAM prices especially would have been unthinkable only 2 years ago.

Yes and No. Currently I shoot Zcam, majority fast action sports, I've never once had an issue with rolling shutter artefacts in my shots. It's a nice feature but with fast rolling shuuter speed not an important aspect at all for me. I'd rather better DR than global shutter.

I am having problems with the jog wheel on my 1D X Mark III popping every full 360 degree rotation, so there is a mechanical problem there and my body will be returned for a refund and so this is only a short review.

Shit. Almost there. Give a guy an hdmi out and we're good to go. While you see trough the evf, someone else can see on an monitor with the hdmi out. The more expensive model previously released has a fan and is noisy... Hope they dont do that mistake again.

Matching  different cylinders glass from different anamorphic scope is equivalent of a cylindrical Galilean telescope running backwards, finding a match with different systems that meet the afocal condition. Here are few prototypes  I put together and some sample shots. I hope you like, thanks!

Also, Andrew bought some super lowfi lenses putting out an image punching way above their weight, like the Soligor 35 70 2.5-3.5. Maybe some of these topics could be part of the main forum rather than disappear in the subforums. I know, old discussion. Just sayin. Now, enjoy the images. I'd like everyone to write to Scott Everett at DPReview about the forum ban on EOSHD URLs and politely ask for them to stop doing this. I think it's been 5 years now.
There are users who post in both places and want to reference a topic here, or reference in this forum a topic at DPReview.
So it is not nice really, is it?

Most cine camera are still EF or PL, beside there are no affordable and relatively compact cine primes made for super 35 on the market in those mounts.
Yes there is Rokinon for EF but the built quality is terrible. ( the barrels get loose and you cant tighten them up because they are plastic.)
Still lenses have terrible throw in the 24mm and wider focals, and are usually 2.8 
I quite interested by a set that finally have a relatively fast and affordable 18mm .

Wow! That's a game changer for ultra low priced PL lenses, and about time. 

Now it might finally make sense to buy one of those crazy cheaply priced URSA Mini PL bodies, or a C500/C300 PL mount body. 

I still see focus issues regularly on youtube channels that feature vlogging type content.  Sure, we have DPAF and PDAF, but if the camera decides to do a beautifully-smooth speed-controlled phase-detect focus-pull to the wrong f*cking thing, then it's still a wasted shot.  Watch some of the reviews of the new Sony vlogging camera to see people talking about how it has a new focus mode that is far better for things like product shots, and remember that when someone says that a new product is better then it means that the old one had issues that they wanted to be fixed.
Luckily, if you're holding the camera while filming yourself, manual focus combined with an aperture setting that isn't too ridiculous can fix those focus issues!
Besides, at this point if you're a vlogger who only cares about content and want the filming process to essentially leave you alone, then there are many smaller sensor cameras to just crank out content.  The vloggers that want to have larger sensors and larger apertures are also somewhat likely to be interested in the MF aesthetic.

Same here. Would be cool if they offer nice PL to EF adapters to go with them, super versatile then.

My EF and F lenses follow me from camera to camera, so it will be a long time before I buy anything other than EF. I'd love to see Rokinon get some competition for affordable EF cine style lenses. It's great that they also have mirrorless mounts as well.
Gotta love the #vlogger on Meike's tweet about manual focus cinema lenses though.

That sounds like the M50's future to me. I hope the M50 will be up and running sometime this year or next...who knows, but I'm hanging on :).

1/4000 would be typical in mid-day sun.  I'll shoot some video tomorrow and apply the trial plug-in.  See what happens.

You could skip the cage, and just use your own phone as a screen. (or a cheap sub $200 monitor. Many people use an external monitor with their BMPCC4K anyway)
