Please try to use "CGI" to simultaneously duplicate the field curvature, DOF and DOF roll-off of a vintage lens in a skateboarding video, in which the camera and subject are constantly changing their distance from each other with the camera panning back and forth 360-degrees and with multiple subjects constantly moving all over the frame.

The downer about the M.2 caddy is that for some inexplicable reason it is $400.
Comparative to the cost of the entire camera thats the sort of media housing price gouge that is worthy of a Jinnitech investigation !
 

Z-CAM with ProRes RAW is in many way more useful on that camera, because you need to add the screen anyway, and it doesn't have a standard or widely supported internal RAW codec, so you may as well use the Ninja with it if you want to shoot RAW.
The 5.8K will be on the more expensive larger sensor models and I think 4K on the M43 Z-CAM E2.

Indeed they aren't all the same, but there's also a hell of a lot of difference between PLASTIC and MAGNESIUM ALLOY, and you made it real clear that you had no idea what the camera was even made out of before critiquing it for being "plastic" and suggesting they add $5000 to the price. So yeah, "dude," you were clearly talking out of your ass and won't even admit it.

Like I said, at the moment only cine cams can do it, no other hybrid and certainly no other FF hybrid (until perhaps the unicorn A7S3).
Zcam is pretty much a sensor in a box. For $1500 you’re only getting the M43 sensor version. You gotta step up to $2500 for the S35 version and that is still not FF. No AF, no IBIS, no EVF etc..

To be fair, I was very appreciative of their sage advice in that video not to listen to the biased opinions of people with relationships with manufacturers and certainly not to trust early reviews from these people.
Its almost like Canon never took them on a trip to Hawaii to see the EOS-R, gave them a FREE one to giveaway as a click and subscriber booster on their channel and put out a review so speedily it was actually shot in their paid for hotel room isn't it ?

I expect that his demographic would be the overlap between "professional" photographers and people who work in higher paid other jobs.
My day job is working in tall corporate buildings and you are basically always a stones-throw away from someone who owns a 5D or other flagship camera, and at least a few L-series or equivalent lenses.  Many of them have it just to shoot their families, some will shoot for the social/sports clubs they're involved in, and a few have dreams of being a professional photographer and do weddings on the side.
I suspect that these are his demographic.

It is exactly this kind of attitude that normalizes and ultimately rewards the behaviour of these shills. By letting them get away with it.

Just chiming in for:
I kind of despise Kai. Much as he may know his stuff I think he's a classic 'trapped in branding' / 'designer label' / 'I only like the "best" brands' mindset and it shows at least a little, maybe more, in the videos I could be arsed watching from him. Just an annoying attitude and not all that funny.
I'm not watching 55 minutes of Gerald Undone metananalysing his own review and the reaction (I managed maybe 15 mins of it) but I would be inclined to say fuck off to any Zcam zealots who care so much about this that they moaned a lot about it, but also by a similar token it's stupid and weird of Gerald to care so much what they think. The more you say "okay wait, let me explain / pls forgive me" to entitled nobodies on the internet, the more they will try to come for you.

Now my real reason for posting: I grew to LOVE camera conspiracies guy. Seems a really genuine and genuinely funny guy, self-aware and self-deprecating (and bonus points for getting into youtube vlogging for something actually real compared to other youtubers and audio/visual tech reviewers - his health problems and diets to fix them. Not some "how quick can I monetise and get sent free things" intention).
Love his Vegetable conspiracies channel too, he's a weirdo.
Example, Kasey from Cam Conspiracies can be seen interacting and being legit nice and friendly in an off the cuff, unscripted way to like homeless dudes who come up on him while filming, I can't imagine it with someone like Kai, he'd probably try to call the cops or something.
Kasey's just likeable. More of a true outsider, gives zero weight to all the "I'm a ~filmmaker~ and ~visual storyteller~" pomp and "professional" pretentions out there, takes the hot air out of all that and instead gets into the use-in-anger grittys and gotchas of cameras that many more polished reviewers just don't, no matter how many "I was not paid to give a positive review" statements they throw in.

I just take it as a joke, he seems like a decent guy who is funny sometimes. I don't watch all his videos (or even watch through all of the ones I do), but I do find his humour funny because he's just trying to be a regular guy and not some inflated egotistical giant like most reviewers and influenzas are. For the record I've never watched an episode to get factual information. I think he fills a good niche that no one really has previous and his sense of humour at times appeals to me (making a joke out of people and things that take stuff really serious is the best, I hope he's making money).

For the record my favourite camera YouTube channel is - Analog Resurgence. That guy is doing it for all the right reasons and it shows.

It isn't neccesarily the sensor size thing with HDMI...
I still love and use my GH5 and always shoot in HLG anamorphic open gate mode.
Can't do that via HDMI either, NOR can you even view an output.
