Count me in for one of these.

Looks like similar to 16D, not wide for sure. I have ELMO 20mm F1.4, which came with Elmoscop-II that equals to 16H.

After more thant one year of shooting with this lens i am more than happy with the resuls.
I compiled some shoots made with this adapter in conjunction with the 5d3 and ML.
Here they are, i'd love any type of feedack.

There are several versions, I have this one that's slighly less golden but it's short. It's has the inscription f=75mm-2.95in and came with such a taking lens screwed in.
I know there are versions that are longer. It cost me 90€ last year.

 
Here two samples with the nikkor 135 f2 DC (it works fine until 85mm, you also can use a 60mm on FF but you will get vignetting until you crop to 2.35:1 or a little less and you need a lens with a small front element)
 

 

The ultra star I have is about the same size and weight as the sankor 16d, it just has a larger diameter.

Hello everyone, I have spoken to anamorphic shop guys regarding a discount on a FM lens for this community, they have agreed.
We are at an early stage yet, but they are inclined to support us later on.
How many of you will be interested to buy the FM lens with some discount?
Please do not ask how much discount, because as I said it before we are at an early stage of agreements, I will let you know when thing will be decided for sure.
I just want make clear one thing though:
I have no relation to these guys, I am doing this for everyone's benefit, and I will be treated as everyone on this forum.

Can we officialy declare Canon dead for video on DSLRs consumers can afford?

I think we all know what the deal is.  You have said it before, so theres no confusion:   Video sucess on dslrs was an accidental success for canon.  A nice suprise at the extra interest and sales.  So they created the spin off cinima eos lin to carry the pro video forward and charge as much as the market will pay for it.   The dslrs then just continue to be 100% stills orientated.  The 7d mk1 and mk2 are mainly for sport protographers.  Where the crop is an advantage (as long as the sensor is higher resolution) and high frame rate (with good autofocus) is of prime importance.  The video is just an added extra.  Its just there if they happen to need it.  But kept at consumer level quality, with all video improvments like better autofucus squarely in the consumer arena.

I have the same math. The only thing I'm having trouble figuring out is how the powers interact (ie, what power glass would shorten the distance of movement required to focus)

Just got a hook up with an optician that works locally and has some tinkering toys at his house. Hopefully I'll gain more info there.

When it comes to good cinematography, I say it's an overall quality that is a sum of all it's parts.  It doesn't have to have DOF or great lighting, but if it artistically defines and supports the story, then it's happening.

I wonder how much it will cost, and when it will be available.
Anyone knows more?

Shot this guerrilla style about a month or so ago for Project Greenlight. Thought I'd post it here, as it was really my first foray into 4K filmmaking. Learned a lot about handling the new workflow during the making of this.
