Huh - an F2.8 lens lets in the same amount of light per sensor area on an M43 camera as it does on a medium format camera. Yes I have a speed booster for times I may want a bit less DOF or want a faster lens for low light - and I have a speedbooster for my full frame and APS-S systems too for the same reason.

Indeed -  the GH5 has been out for a while now and it's still as good or better than newer cameras in terms of key features like codec (400mbps 10bit 4.2.2) and IBS not to forget the low cost. I've got a P4k but it isn't a replacement for my GH5 by a long way.....

The sensor is still free to move around on the IBS floating mechanism even if you turn it off. If you have a GH5 test it yourself - shake the camera and you can hear the sensor moving (and watch it with the lens off).

The GH5 has real issues with the IBS when the camera is subject to harsh movements in that  the sensor moves even when you turn IBS off.

I highly doubt anyone will be able to tell BRAW footage from 1:1 RAW - you will hit the basic limitations of the sensor, ADC etc before you hit the limits of the codec. RAW is pretty easy to handle esp in Resolve and in many ways easier than high compression internal camera codecs like H.264. Storage requirements are obviously a lot bigger but storage media is not a huge cost these days. I agree that shooting RAW on a camera like the P4k does not unleash hidden image quality that will turn you average looking footage into cinematic nirvana. RAW is just another codec - I've been using it for as long as I've been using a digital stills camera. It's nicer and more flexible to work with than jpeg but it's not a miracle codec.

Oh it is the best thing since sex if you are pretty good at it. Just like in Photos. But for average scenes I doubt it is worth the effort for the average person. Most cameras in the past few years have gotten really pretty damn good with WB and with the rise in DR also it is becoming a lot easier to get it right, even on auto in camera. I meant look at Smartphones. They have become just about Dummy Proof.
Video was I was young was a real ball buster to use. Even TV stations had a hard time hiring people smart enough on the tech side to even run the station. But back then almost all of it was vacuum tube based, even the cameras. And they drifted all over the place. I remember often the tech just coming over and hitting the equipment with his first and fixing a lot of problems LoL. We weren't Allowed to hit it ?. Now, that would be less of a problem. I am sure it is still complex, but I bet it screws up a lot less than it did then, just like new cameras are a lot more reliable from catastrophic results. I don't see using Raw much in my future. Too lazy, and can't afford the computer power, storage space to do it right. ?
But if you can do all the above why not. It is what separates the men from the boys. The reason there is good footage and great footage. I truly believe most people ought to hone their editing, grading skills than worrying about new cameras. And editing, Grading skills really don't cost any, or very little money to improve. An old C100 or a BMCC shot and edited well would probably be as good if not better than the new ones..

Depends what the 'dust' is. It can be sticky and bond to the glass and no amount of air will shift it hence why a gel is my go-to tool. Never had a problem with dust between sensor and stack which I assume is a sealed unit. The OP's problem is typical of specs of foreign matter on the sensor cover glass given it's round shape. Dust in a lens - never seen this project it's shape on an image except on a very wide lens where dirt on the front element combined with enough DOF can show  but the OP is using a long lens so again it all points to dirt on the sensor cover glass.

The Ronin-S has the integration with the Panasonic cameras to control focus and trigger recording from the gimbal without touching the camera.

BM RAW is not like other cameras RAW as it has a curve built into the data so it's not 'true' RAW in the same way that a still RAW from a Canon, Nikon, Sony etc is.

ETTR is just one among many exposure tools. It depends on the circumstances as to if it's the best tool. There are no scopes on the P4K and the zebras are not accurate and change with ISO so there is quite a bit of experience needed to get the best out of it in a contrasty lighting situation. As a result of some tests today I'd advise only using ISO 400-1000 and 3200-8000 in ProRes and be wary of what the zebras are telling you if you go off 400 or 3200 ISO.

You certainly know how to teaze....... Don't regret buying the Ronin-s at it Xmas offer price and not sure how much better another gimball could be unless it had another 2 axis.

Good advice for anyone who uses middle grey as an exposure method but using middle grey as and exposure method may not be good advice.....
