It looks great, and what a full write-up too, kudos!

    4K at a good bit-rate is a plus.

The video unit is massive but it's great that they've made it, it beats third-party botching.

On the format front though the 10-bit 4:2:2 being external only is disappointing though, it has so much processing power.... but stumbles at this hurdle

Correct me if i'm wrong there

It's a shame that there's still no camera without compromise at this price range.

Here we a more rounded product than the Blackmagic Pocket, but it demands that you use an external recorder to do what the pocket will internally, and that's a bit sad :/

I got my GH2 from B&H online.  I likely would have anyhow but there is literally no place for a normal consumer to buy one here, in a decent sized city, or GH3 if I was to look now.  Panasonic just isn't a popular enough brand here for anything but consumer A/V equipment.

I had a devil of a time trying to find a back-up battery some months ago and ended up, after half a day's search, finding a small shop that carried this generic brand (that lasted half as long with no feedback to the LCD, but I wasn't about to be picky that day).  They were a rental house with a small retail space up front so it was a good guess that if they had a GH2 rental package they might carry some replacement batteries.

Mailorder has decimated the local camera shops and exchanges who have pretty much all shut down save for one good sized store.  I just loathe to go in there because when I do I'm usually looking for something mildly unusual and the retail monkeys just look at me like I'm speaking in tongues.  I kept trying to think of different ways to describe a "lens collar" to this one guy and you'd think I was asking him for a warp drive.

Hi, here is one promo-video in which Nikon V1 was used for slo-mo. Workflow is described in comments section.
    - few visible clitches are mainly my fault 'cause i was bit lazy working with motion vectors in Nuke

    How to use raw...

    Press record.

    Swap card when full.

    Record audio separately.

    Edit in Resolve.

    Sync with the audio.

It ain't that hard… alas devil is in the details… and that is why I wrote the book.

1.5x crop APS-C or even full frame matters less now Speed Booster exists. Arguably the smaller 2x or 2.4x crop sensors even have an advantage, because they tend to have faster read out speeds, better pixel binning methods and more innovative optics attached.

That said, full frame stills looks magical, it's just a shame the A7R's video quality isn't that hot. The 5D Mark III raw on the other hand...

And where does the 70D fit into this picture? It doesn't. Unless you really need AF in video mode, which I wouldn't touch with a barge poll. Manual focus does exactly what you want it to do. Even the best AF racking isn't as reliable or controllable by comparison.

you have to hold and hol the button...you can do whatever you want with this camera, but you are limeted by 30/60 images...1sec or 2sec of slow-mo.

I made this music video for a band in Spain. The bits with the CD were shot using the V1s burst 4k raw thingy.
