He's much missed here.

This company is blind to video shooters. New model, same codec, frame rate etc. This could really be a video beast with that great IBIS.

Olympus seem to be stuck in 2016 at the moment. Still a good camera taken as a whole though.
I don't think they are committed to the business, at least not to the extent of buying a new viewfinder OLED panel or ordering the latest sensor from Sony.
I think Olympus may pull out of consumer market altogether in fact.

Also, the Z6 has a quiet strong AA filter which the A7R IV does not have, therefore the A7R IV resolving better details...

On the Camera Portrait setting in Adobe Camera Raw, the raw file gives the impression she's standing next to a just-out of frame Slimer.

No the thread is not about photography. It's about a hybrid of both. Just like the A7R IV is a hybrid camera. Video is very important on it. It's not a Nikon Df.
Sony has decided to sit back and consolidate their sales.
The A7 III killed the A7R III sales. They need a new model to justify the $3500 again.
Problem is they haven't been very creative with it, simple as that really.
Bringing Eye AF in from the cheap A6400 is useful but how is it ground-breaking flagship stuff?
61 megapixels? Nobody asked for that.
If you find a use for it instead of 42 megapixel let me know
The expectation was that this camera would at least be better than a $1300 Fuji X-T3 for video.
It is $3500 after all.
2015 called and it wants its 8bit and frame rates back.

I think I heard that from a friend (a working DP whose A cam is a C300 Mk II). He didn't like the the A7S, really liked the A7R III I believe.

The only good surprise in video is the auto focus with real time eye and active tracking.

Announcement will start soon.... its just 22 min. away.
So we can wait and see... but if true... wow... definitely exceeded my expectations.

i see kid giving fake advice all the time on canon forums over there. one day he's an EOS R owner, the other a 5DIV expert.. when we all know he's probably still on his Rebel 500D.. SMH

Are you a young kid? kidding? Time lapse is not a video to be argued to show anything. Another joke is your laughter about the GH5 which is much more professional than the Z6 in so many ways. 
Your are talking so much about the RAW, lets see when it comes out first. We are still waiting for the promised Eye focus firmware update (Hopefully next month).
