You only focus the anamaorphic lens once, you set both the taking lens and the anamorphot to infinity and then focus with this adapter.
Yes, i got that, but in an anamorphic with a front element that rotates how do you manage to move this attachment without rotating the anamorphic as well.
For example in this ana....

I guess this will work on anamorphic adapters that have a non rotating front element, my elmo rotates when i focus.

Seems like a good device to reverse engineer!
-
So I guess the Isco wont fit in the FM right?
-
assumed you said Sscheider ES and ISCO integrated lens.
I mean this isco...http://www.ebay.com/itm/ISCO-GOTTINGEN-Cinelux-Anamorphic-MC-2X-Lens-with-VidAtlantic-DSLR-Adapter-/131522927504?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1e9f609b90
and this schneider... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Schneider-ES-CINELUX-ANAMORPHIC-2x-MC-82-5mm-F2-LENS-Projection-projector-/361298760656?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item541f1593d0

Hi guys,
Is the Cinelux optical design the same in Scheider and Isco adapters?
I read that Isco was once part of the Schneider group, and they shared the name Cinelux.
Thanks in advance,
Martin

What was your taking lens?

they pop up on feebay from time to time, expect to pay top dollar.

nice, could you provide more info about your workflow?

Hi guys, do you know this diopter? i cant find any info about, especially whats its power is. By the description in the sale it seems to be very low.

So basically the mod you didnt do is to change the focus helicoid to make it rack in just one turn?
-
Also interesting is the 2-meter minimum focus. Perhaps they will be developing a large diameter diopter as an accessory?
Please, i need them for my 54.

With you say mini Hypergonar you mean the "baby"? Its squeeze is 1.75x, not 2x-
I use mine in a BMPCC which has a Super 16 and I got serious vignetting with a 25mm lens and with a 35 i got none at all I think you'll be fine with 28 or 30.

Looks interesting, I'm sure the price is out of my reach to own which means when I need to rent I'll rent primes...
Exactly my thoughts, this guy says that their target audience is people that cant afford Cookes and Arris (i.e. 99% of the people)
Basically we rent this kind of high end anamorphics right?
So unless they come up with a 3-5k lens i don't see the point of buying it when you can rent a better quality lens.

A lame interview and a lame video here

This is amazing.

there wont be a big difference with a mark iii, what'd be the big selling point of the mark iv?
-
Looks like a very interesting and futuristic follow focus. Mad expensive for sure.

It's a real killing threat. I am not a hype jumper and when the first BMCC was announced I never believed it will be a 5D killer. But this none is one hell of a threat to all the C100/C300/FS7/FS700/Cion and even red scarlets&epics/alexa mini (yet a little less of a threat for their reputation as the high-end kings to clients)
Well i think we need to wait and see how these 15 stops look.
BMPC4k is supposed to be 12 stops and real life test are showing 8 visible stops.
-
Crap, the BMPC 4k is not in their product page anymore.
By the way, did i mention that i am selling a BMPC 4k?
