Shot a short video with the Lomo Anamorphic 35mm Square Front on the GH3. It's true that the OCT18 version is difficult to work with, so I managed to make it work. The close-ups were shot with hand-held Hoya diopters.

Couldn't believe it at first! Was back at home for the holidays looking through a box of old photo equipment in the basement when I stumbled upon a Iscorama! My grandfather gave me this box of lenses about 6-7 years ago... when I was just getting into filmmaking and didn't realize what anything was. Good thing I decided to rummage through it again over break!
 
 
 
I'm new to anamorphics, but this is the pre 36 Isco right? The picture is kind of crappy, but the glass is perfect on the lens. Any tips for re-greazing these things? The focus is a bit slow... from old lubericants I'm guessing?

Here are two pics with the Jupiter-9 at f2.0 and f8.0 respectively. At f8.0 it is very, very sharp. I am now sure that my Helios was the culprit before.

I've tried the Sun with my Helios 44. Images look pretty sharp to me when in focus. What do you think?

Stanley; you could buy a cheap 77mm UV filter (break the glass) or a 82mm-77mm step down ring, and solder this ring with some kind of 'holder' to a rod clamp.
 
Or buy something like this:

 
Superglue the Step down / emtpy UV filter to the top of the Lens Support. The height is adjustable :)

Hey Francisco, thanks   It was you who turned me on to this lens as I really appreciate your work.   I have two so this one is for sale.   It is interesting to note that the one I am keeping serial 761xxxx, has Cyan coating producing blue/yellow flares and the one for sale here serial 762xxxx has a Magenta coating producing purple/green flares. I wonder why they made the change?   I was tempted to keep the two because of the different coatings, but this is a chance for someone to join the exclusive Moeller 32/2x club ;)
