So lets asume the answer for lack of IBIS is the size of the multiaspect sensor. How much worse of a GH5s would have been if the sensor was the same aspect ration as in the GH5. Naturally if this is not pannys designed sensor .. they may not have had anough control over its size.

Second point im pondering about.  Remains to be seem how clean / good the 240fps is. I dont own GH5. I just own GH4 and the GH4 slowmo 96fps is quite poor in image quality. I have this understanding that GH5 180fps is much better in quality.  So can GH5s be used at 180fps as well and get GH5 quality .. asuming GH5 180fps is better images than 240fps out of GH5s?

Andrew those slow mo aspects would be important tests for your review! What is quality and which camera has the cleanest slomo image at 180fps or over.

According what I have read and observed from web sources the D850 does not have peaking in 4K video mode.  peaking only in 1080p and photography

A reminder about the world we live in. In all fields of industry SCAMS are very common. Specially us consumers we are getting scammed by manufacturers and law makers lets not even talk about politicians. 

So in the light of the above is perfectly possible that Panasonic made a product which actually noes not do what it claims it does. What is real is real no matter what ppl say or claim. This case ofc could be matter of premature tech or firmware related and gets better over time. 

It could have been that they had to make a headline feature to compete but did not want to give out too good stuff.

Color me interested. 

Here's me wondering does the Panasonic 35-100mm 2.8 work better now with GX80 than it does for video with GH4 (i have read about the stabilization problems).

These days I'm mostly using Lexar 64GB 1000x / UHSII cards. I had that same Transcend U3 Card once make corrupted images on my D7100 (stills). The numerous and cheap Komputerbay SDXC 64GB cards have seen some use as well .. and no problems so far on those. I only buy 64GB cards (a some what wise policy from the GH2 realm)

That logo of theirs is creepy .. it's like a skull who's eye are kept open by force (think of clock work orange therapy)

Buying a Red camera is like buying a club membership that enables you to buy more of expensive things. I how ever do value RED's quality level of their products in this age of planned obsolessence. Chips in printers and who knows where that make your devices die on you on a certain date or after random time of uses.

With all those modules it's not very light anymore. Let alone cheap. GH4 makes so much more sense.

Here's waiting for Atomos Shogun to hit 1000€ mark. Lexar 1000x UHS-II cards are what I have been using of late 150MB/s ones ~35€ for 64GB card.

10 of those is 350€ / 640GB And Kingston reader MobiLIte G4 is about 13 euros USH-II / USB3 reader.

Quick calculation.

2400 euros for a  2 x GH4 bodies + VLOG updates

350 euros for 640GB of memory cards

150 euros for 2 org. batteries

4599 dollars for full set of Veydra Glass and case (not the 85)

= about 7500 euros.

Just to let you know. When I first downloaded the beta it was 12.0b1. Now that I'm upgrading my work rig and installing all from scratch the version number for todays download was 12.0b4.

So it's a latest build I asume.

What would be interesting is working af for birding glass on GH4. Since there is still not proper nature lenses .. such adapter would not need speed boosting. The current competition seems to lack proper af capability for non native lenses. naturally this might not be your field of expertise and some other folks at metabones do the electronics.

Beeing able to use Tamron 150-600 and Sigma 150-600 with working af for MFT mounts would be sweeet. ( i know it's very niche)

BTW is there non radioactive way to make such high performance optics? Lanthanum in my understanding is little bit radioactive. Heh perhaps provide small stylished lead lined case for those speedboosters ..

It's a shame. In time they may make it viable. It's good to follow up on the progress. So noone .. if dont sell it and keep it .. and get better firmwares for it. Keep us posted.

IF I had NX1 with good enough lens line up I would wait for the A7SII unless I knew I could make make it back+more with the projects in the next two months that I allready HAVE.

I would not be swapping out my GH4 for this new Sony. Sony's pyramid of focus (chart) suggests that the inevitable A7SII will be higly improved powerhouse as well.

Then again if you could get them both (A7RII & A7SII) .. that would work

I hope Nikon pulls their head from their arse and star making 4K capable models. Not this 15fps BS they do so far.

Panasonic should take note. The only reason many people are considering those is in part thanks to no native lenses with IS. For me the idea of using a 300 f4L IS on a GH4 does not sound optimal. BUT for certain nature shooting ideas it might be a decent solution. The weight savings from native lenses would be highly appreciated.

​That video has much more promise. I'm personally keen about an idea of using my recently bought GH4 as a very long focal lenght tool... and autofocus with it would be very welcome.

I'm higly interested in this product but since I have been scammed by the chinese few times so far I have healthy sceptisism.

I would not go running to make pre orders of this product only on the basis of that video up there .. since it proves nothing yet.  It may be about the product or it may be completele different lens on that camera on that video.  One cannot really see it.

One reason for doubt comes from why is it that.. this one company suddenly manages to make the af work so much better than the other adapter companies.

I'm hopefull tho! Price is bit steep.

​No. Now it's time for either E or A mount high megapixel Sony FF and if we are lucky for a A7000 like model as well. We can only speculate naturally. I would expect the A7SII by fall of this year the earliest . . While I allso hope I'm wrong

Cfast is nice when minimal size of a recorder is needed. SSD:s are so much more price efficient.

I hope that the next and upcoming 4K monitor recorder from Blackmagic has the following features.

-1080p IPS panel,

-both SD card and SSD ,

-Ability to record RAW,

Even tho the SD card will be limited to the lower resolution vide sources. Or how about support for UHS-II cards as well. (one can dream and hope)
