This is in such contrast to Blackmagic. Whenever Ive had a problem with Resolve, I just email them and get a response within a day or two. And that's for a FREE product! Back a few years ago I even got a direct response from a senior engineer there.

The thing is, Blackmagic aren't busy laughing at their customers, so they have more time to respond.

I've been trying to report a bug to adobe since 2017.  This is not my record. That goes to a bug between lightroom and photoshop that appeared in 2008.  I tried and failed for years on that one. They say, don't they, the definition of madness is repeating the same futile action over and over...
I'm thinking about making a short film about what you have to do to get adobe's attention.  I've tried the forum, and the uservoice site (where they, in a Trump-esque stroke of not-testing-for-coronavirus genius, removed their bug-reporting form).   I tried phoning them, and then doing a chat session. I was lucky to make it out of that one alive.  Honestly If there had been any sharp object on my desk I would've been a goner.
Recently I looked up a bunch of the senior devs and quality managers and tweeted them, or wrote to them on linked in.  Just now I've been sending any employees who engaged in any small way a message via their forum. I have very very low expectations.
I was thinking maybe I could pull some stunts to get their attention. Streak in their offices, or skywriting maybe?
Yes I know i should move to resolve.  But I'm deep in the sunk-cost fallacy, OK?
Here's my latest pointless waste of time:

So far I am enjoying RAW 4K on the FP minus the fact I still can't see what I shot in camera. What are your experiences with Sigma's RAW performance and what are your thoughts on the dynamic range recovered in RAW? Below is a little stress test I shot in Boston a few months ago.

I know what is going on here...
Panny knew that Olympus was going to go and they do not wish to continue with 4/3rds themselves.
By releasing this piece of junk they can then say, "oh well, we have taken 4/3rds as far as we can and are now moving on from making any more and canning the GH6 in favour of FF only".
T-rump and Kim Ping Pong have also played a part in this devious but transparent conspiracy.

Yeh theres a fuck ton of vloggers and even more people aspiring to be. Even when you just search for a product review a lot of the time it'll be in a vlog format. And a large percentage of teenagers aspire not to be filmmakers, doctors, bricklayers, but vloggers.
Panny really missed the boat on this one though. The camera they need to put out is an LX100 with flippy screen, mic jack and new sensor with no 4K crop and better dynamic range.

I’m also a bit worried. They went to build a vlogging camera and almost missed every important mark to hit.
You can forgive them for the AF as they are doing the best they can with their tech, but the record limit in 4K, the crop, and no IBIS? Very, very strange.
A upgraded LX100 II would have made much more sense especially with the new sound tech, and flip screen, and it’s wonderful 24-75 f1.7-2.8 lens.

Inazuma reacted to Anaconda_ in Self financed $700k sci-fi movie
I recently watched this film, and thought it was fantastic. Story really is everything.
It's the writer/director's debut, he saved up $700k from doing commercial work to self-fund it. Filmed in just 4 weeks with only 5 characters. The cinematography is excellent and I've never seen some of the techniques before. I'm usually a 'show don't tell' kind of guy, but with this, I was so happy it's more like a story in realtime. The characters are interesting and engaging and it takes you far beyond the 1950s small town backdrop.

Man, yeah. Lots of complex emotion on this for me over the last week. I’m a white Minnesotan, working 6 days a week even during COVID-19... I thought about photographing/video documenting, and I agree it is incredibly important work and that things must be seen.

But my heart is broken. Just straight ripped apart. I just got home from two days In Minneapolis/St. Paul, and I’m glad I didn’t bring a camera, and I left my phone in my bag. There’s a LOT of I guess I’d call it “social justice tourism” going on, and that just sits uneasy with me. Like, people were posing with their friends and signs for selfies, and then leaving the sit-in at the capitol before it was done... even more selfies with the George Floyd mural at Cup Foods. Don’t get me wrong, it is good that those people are at least engaging on some level, but social media is already drowning in this stuff at the moment, that isn’t necessarily an efficient vehicle for change.

I don’t need pictures to communicate what I’ve seen with my own eyes. I saw the entire capitol lawn filled to bursting with beautiful peaceful people all afternoon, championing full institutional overhaul of the oppressive system... which by the way was organized and led by FREAKING HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS, who were all more articulate than yours truly.

I worked alongside hundreds of my fellow Minnesotans ALL DAY yesterday as we packed food and household supplies for our neighbors in need. We were tired. We were drenched in sweat. It was beautiful. Emotions, events, words and actions are in the highest contrast in this moment.

Sometimes you’ve gotta leave the camera behind and commit your full self to being present. And I must say this: while the news has been reporting both the peaceful protests and the unrest, the time devoted to each is woefully disproportionate to the time Minnesotans have been devoting to each. Yes there has been some destruction and some violence. But there is an immeasurably larger effort of peaceful demand for justice.

Heres the only picture from today, snapped by a construction worker on an adjacent building and texted to one of the church food drive organizers. All of those bags of groceries were gone within half an hour. The need is real, but Minnesotans are rising to the occasion, government or no government.

Inazuma got a reaction from PannySVHS in How to vintage-ize modern lenses?
For me, the character of vintage lenses give footage much more feeling to them. I would use them more but I like the conveniences that modern lenses give. For example, I just got an Aputure DEC Lensregain which allows me to control aperture and focus remotely for a relatively small sum. The catch is that it only works with Canon EF lenses.
So I'm looking to vintage-ize modern lenses. The softness or diffusion can easily be achieved by smudging the front element or adding a diffusion filter. But things like bokeh shape and harshness, chromatic aberrations and flares are harder to achieve. I was thinking about buying a load of UV filters and stacking them on top of one another in front of the lens. Has anyone ever attempted this or done anything else to try to achieve the effect (of basically inferior optics)?

    Just throwing this out there...
So the plan is - I will be putting some future blog posts out in Mattias Burling style, with the voice over, the artistic shots and camera gear reviews in video form. I really like this format and Mattias did it brilliantly.
The other thought is around some kind of live streaming and online camera 'festivals' with a good atmosphere and lots of guests. Like CineGear but online.
I'm open to advice and what you guys want from EOSHD on YouTube.
It is actually going ahead this time in a big way and won't be a one off podcast or interview.
Suggestions welcome and ideas even more so
