Wild Ranger got a reaction from heart0less in GH5 to Alexa Conversion
Well... a rental borrow me a Panasonic S1 for testing... them the quarantine came to my country.
So, i was so bored that i made a short film by my self, almost alone.
Obliviously for the grading i used the GHAlex Luts.
B&W was made with LogC to film print
Color was made directly with the "Main lut" then graded a little.
The point of this is just to entertain and incentive others to make and create things now on this times.

Well since that quarantine got us all...
I struggle a lot with inactivity, so i had to make a short film... Almost alone, by my self.

PD: I had a Panasonic S1 that was let to me for testing. I used this for the film.

Wild Ranger got a reaction from Towd in Canon EOS R5 - What Panasonic, Sony and Fuji can do to fight THE 8K BEAST
Now with the most recent adoption of AV1 in Netflix and youtube, i think that internal codecs are going the AV1 way, it's really efficient supporting up to 12bit and 4:4:4 color space. Also IT'S FREE OPEN SOURCE MAGIC!!!
Implementing Prores is a more hard thing to accept in my opinion, It needs to be hardware encoded to be efficient in smaller cameras, also licensing and chip development it's quiet a risk for mirrorless cameras. That's why Panasonic opted for a 10bit h264/265. its cheaper, smaller and, let's be honest, quality wise it's not really far from Prores HQ. The only benefit of apple's codec it's the easy to use and adoption in NLEs.

Wild Ranger got a reaction from JR Lipartito in HOW TO: Upscaling the first 1896 Lumière Brothers film recordings to full colour 4K/60p with neural network engine
The upscaling software is Topaz gigapixel for video, this software is in current closed beta for developers and testers to use, is not in the web page.
But, since I'm in the beta test page, i can provide a link:

Hi everybody!
I know this is off topic, i'm sorry, but I just released my last feature film on Amazon's Prime Video and i wanted to share with some friend from here.
Follow the link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZHRZ782
This film took some time(around 3 years), it was shot on Nikons and Super 16mm.
A little background: https://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/39600-my-film-on-amazon-prime-video-shot-with-dslr-and-film/
PS: I'm almost finishing shooting a movie i'm DP, it has quite a lot of GH5 and mix some Alexa in there, so the plan is use GHAlex
Sorry for the "Off-topic spam".

I finally released my last feature in streaming. It's now on Amazon's Prime Video here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZHRZ782
It's a Drama/vengance/thiller type
I little bit of history with this.
I started to shot this film in the end of 2013 (yes almost 7 years). It took almost 3 years in production. It was shot with a couple of Nikons DSLRs and Super 16mm film. Since it's first screening in the Mar Del Plata International Film Festival in 2016, the film was going around thru some festivals and other screenings. It finally got a theatrical release locally (Argentina) in march this year. It's preaty hard to get distribution to some "kind" of movies.
As you can see, this is a very looong process when you are a "newcomer" in the business, but you just to keep pushing.
I still have in plan try to reach some other platforms. Only time will tell.
